It's probably a good refresher to take the course. Heck, I'd do it myself to save a couple of bucks on Insurance. Insurance is crazy in California. A lot of companies have left because our insurance laws are wild. Glad you have that option.

Sounds like a pretty tasty dinner, although I have no idea how quinoa would impact the flavor. I, too, probably spend more time than is good for me at my computer - although, to be fair, just because my status is "Online" doesn't mean I'm actually in front of the screen - I get a bit of exercise chasing after my grandson. Do what you can to feel better, and to feel better about how you feel.

I had no idea fruits and veggies were so dirty. Yuck. I'm pretty good about washing my veggies & fruits too, but vinegar seems a bit extreme. I'd have to research it for myself to see what the benefits were and if the effort was worth it. Thanks for sharing. Food for thought!

Heck, I think all the above are great places to find hope. I can honestly say I've hope in Jesus, his words, his story. I can definitely find hope in my children. Nature, for me is more inspiring, but watching the Big Bear Eaglets and animals/birds in nature leaves me with good feelings and hopeful feelings.

People, when they do the right thing, always leave me with hope, I suppose because it's not easy to do the right thing. Someone lost their wallet in the grocery store parking. Did you turn it in and leave the money in there when you did?

For me, Good things, Good deeds, Small gestures of kindness leave hope. Positive actions leave hope. Reading a romance and getting that happy ending leave me hopeful.

I agree - hope is all around us if we open our eyes.

I have 42 steps. Far too many if I have heart issues but my neighbor gets Meals-on-Wheels and I believe home-delivery of groceries. So... I could too if need be. I've thought about it.

I could do 7 steps one at a time. Maybe. I'm very careful bending over. I tend to sit when putting pants or socks on.

Yep. The recuperation period is essential. The do's like walking, the don'ts like no driving. You seem prepared. I have 42 steps so I'd be bound to pacing this floor.

I tend to write when I'm bored and not traveling. I could catch up on that (which is what I've been doing this past week).

You don't mention the procedure but we have a wonderful place in town that puts in stents. I may need to have that done.

My neighbor, Jay, has had a pacemaker for years. He's young and has no choice so off to Seattle (11 hour drive) to get a new battery or something. He also got new teeth (full mouth replacement) and that has improved his quality of life. He's lived with the prospect of a short life for many years. He's a leather-worker. I wrote this for him:

My sister was playing two doors down and a hammock came down on her head and put a hole in it. Blood gushing everywhere. Our next door neighbor was fortunately visiting my mother (my mother never let anyone in!) and they took her to the doctor who lived at the corner of the main road and the street. He shaved off some hair and took care of it.

Nice post. I love geraniums but kill them as I water too much, I believe. They need a dryer pot and I also watch that my husband does water them when they look a little dryer than other plants. I am also guilty leaving the removals in the pot. So, learn something here. With yellow jackets, if they remain, go back to YOu Tube as they have several videos regarding that pest.

Easter Plans Already?

My niece with 5 kids asked about Easter. She has to be at her Mother-in-law's for dinner, but wants to see her father's family for lunch. The kids will show off their new Easter clothes and hunt plastic eggs. There is another niece with 3 kids, and my brother with a wife and kid in the same age group.

I have stopped cooking normal food in favor of plant-friendly, heart healthy food. Obviously, I cook in smaller quantities now. My everyday cooking is no longer for company.

And the Easter bunny will not be leaving chocolates or Skittles at my house this year. He doesn't go to the grandmothers' homes, why should he come to mine? I guess it started because I moved in with my father, the great grandfather, to be his caretaker after my divorce. He wanted to lavish things on the kids. They are still coming to the house even though he's gone now. I have put up a few decorations just for myself, before I knew anyone planned to be here. I can throw something together since they will be having a second meal later that day.

I don't heave to cook fish or quinoa for them. I'll come up with something that doesn't gross them out, but won't leave me with inedible leftovers.( I am not using salt these days.) If the weather holds out, we'll take the annual photo of the kids with a tree out front that may be in its own twilight time. It's hard to get the kids to stand still that long. And they are taller now and don't fit the poses or branches that they did years ago.

It needs to be less about the food and more about togetherness and fun. One year, maybe 8 years ago, they all sat out in the yard looking for four leaf clovers. That is a wonderful memory.
