I have 42 steps. Far too many if I have heart issues but my neighbor gets Meals-on-Wheels and I believe home-delivery of groceries. So... I could too if need be. I've thought about it.

I could do 7 steps one at a time. Maybe. I'm very careful bending over. I tend to sit when putting pants or socks on.

Yep. The recuperation period is essential. The do's like walking, the don'ts like no driving. You seem prepared. I have 42 steps so I'd be bound to pacing this floor.

I tend to write when I'm bored and not traveling. I could catch up on that (which is what I've been doing this past week).

You don't mention the procedure but we have a wonderful place in town that puts in stents. I may need to have that done.

My neighbor, Jay, has had a pacemaker for years. He's young and has no choice so off to Seattle (11 hour drive) to get a new battery or something. He also got new teeth (full mouth replacement) and that has improved his quality of life. He's lived with the prospect of a short life for many years. He's a leather-worker. I wrote this for him:

My sister was playing two doors down and a hammock came down on her head and put a hole in it. Blood gushing everywhere. Our next door neighbor was fortunately visiting my mother (my mother never let anyone in!) and they took her to the doctor who lived at the corner of the main road and the street. He shaved off some hair and took care of it.

Nice post. I love geraniums but kill them as I water too much, I believe. They need a dryer pot and I also watch that my husband does water them when they look a little dryer than other plants. I am also guilty leaving the removals in the pot. So, learn something here. With yellow jackets, if they remain, go back to YOu Tube as they have several videos regarding that pest.

My inquiring mind is itching to know how the family meal went. I have a nephew who traditional does this broil on New Year’s Day. I was there once. No sides. I loved the potatoes and corn. I don’t like fish. I did eat lobster once in Mexico after drinking enough wine to give it no identifiable taste other than the taste of the dripping butter I dipped it in.

TV Watching

While convalescing, I have watched a lot of movies. My favorites have been musicals. Good old stand-byes I've seen many times before. After watching Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, I concluded I like watching men dance. That includes Oklahoma, which I watched the following week, and Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire in almost anything. Even Frank Sinatra did a few song and dance movies with Gene. This past weekend I saw Kiss Me Kate again, and loved watching James Whitmore, not a dancer, sing and dance to "Brush Up Your Shakespeare". I like Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson, but after Seeing Taylor and Burton in The Taming of the shrew, Keel and Grayson fall a little short in the acting department,

I've also learned to identify Carole Lombard and Joan Fontaine. I recognized "Granny" (Beverly Hillbillies) Irene Ryan, onMy Dear Secretary with Kirk Douglas, not a musical, but pretty old black and white.

I'm calling it educational.
