"Prompt: Am I vulnerable with God? Do I invite him in to know my pain, weaknesses and fears? Do I open myself up to be corrected, trained and instructed by God’s word?" I try to always be vulnerable with my Savior. I really have no pain or troubles because I am holding His hand. I think worry and fear is a state of mind. I lived in that state of mind for many years, many decades. Then one day I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and began to look for the silver lining in every cloud. Now it's gotten to the point where I really don't see anything but the silver. I admit that my living situation has a lot to do with that. God has placed me at the West Virginia Veterans Home. Since I am technically unemployed and have no taxable income, I live here for free. I hold several positions here, including peer support specialist, chaplain, and floor leader. I receive a stipend for those positions as well as my room and board. So basically, in in-kind services and stipend I receive my income. I need nothing although I enjoy having spending money for soft drinks every day. The worry though is something I no longer do. I leave my pain at Jesus' feet.
