Just an image Prompt: "What are you praying for?"

My prayers usually consist of prayers of praise and thank you as opposed to prayers of request. I feel God already knows my needs and does not need me to continually pester Him about them. In fact, God knows my needs much better than I do. So instead of going to Him with a long list of requests and "honey-dos", I approach Him with thanksgiving and praise. The only time I make any requests to God is on Sunday morning when I am getting ready to preach. Then I ask His help in surrendering myself completely to Holy Spirit and to use my mouth to get His message across. I seldom pray about a physical need for I know He has already saw the need and is meeting it in His way and His time.

Poem written for prompt of God’s love, based on John 3:16

she writes about a subject that is near and dear to my heart: Jesus!

Read this poem and give some feedback.

I love the way she took each line of John 3:16 and explained it in poetic format. Another form of expressing John 3:16 I have become impressed with was an acrostic I saw on social media that used letters in certain words to spell out "Valentine." Since Jesus is the ultimate expression of love this seems appropriate to me.

expresses and explains John 3:16 beautifully I think. And yes, it was by coincidence that I stumbled upon this poem even though she blogs on my other forum. God guided me to the poem. I did not seek it out.

I heard a joke I thought was funny. It said, "They say old age is just in the mind. I disagree. It also in my joints."

Blog City image small Prompt: "Discuss one of these Abraham Lincoln quotes on his birthday.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
― Abraham Lincoln

“Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”
― Abraham Lincoln

“There are no bad pictures; that's just how your face looks sometimes.”
― Abraham Lincoln

"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”
― Abraham Lincoln

agree with Lincoln about America never falling to the outside but destroying itself. His statements seem to be coming true today!"
