"December 7, 2018" Prompt: "Write a story or poem using this quote from Dylan as inspiration. Have fun! “The crisp path through the field in this December snow, in the deep dark, where we trod the buried grass like ghosts on dry toast.” ― Dylan Thomas, Quite Early One Morning: Stories " I've got finals this week plus I am sick so I doubt I'll be doing much writing. I just wanted to check in today as I prepare to study. I'll check out that story. I don't know that I will like it. I usually read science fiction, westerns, and the Bible but if I remember I will check it out. Prompt: "Discuss this quote in your blog entry.....“December's wintery breath is already clouding the pond, frosting the pane, obscuring summer's memory...” ― John Geddes, A Familiar Rain" I would have to say the man is right. I live in southwest West Virginia and some of the ponds here are icing over. I would imagine that to the north it is even worse. This winter could shape up to be the worst one we've had in years. I'm not mentally prepared for winter. It seems like summer only lasted a week so I am still stuck on summer. |
