Blog City image small Prompt: "Have fun with these 13 words---- prescription, separation, aunt, training, generate, moment, carbon, course, cheat, glue, residence, beg, and introduce"

You know I am going to have to try to have fun with these words by turning them into a sermonette. So let's just say that as a theologian I have a prescription for everybody that will lead to peace in your heart. It requires separation only from sin but Jesus forgives you when you screw it up. My aunt always tried to teach me that Jesus was the way. Like so many others I did not want to hear it. Years of training in Bible taught me differently. I learned that my aunt was right: Jesus is the answer. He can generate hope for the hopeless and life for the lifeless. He was dead one moment and alive the next. There are no carbon copies. Of course He will accept anybody who believes in Him. Love is the glue that holds His people together. His residence is Heaven. Earth is his footstool. He will not beg you to believe in him or love Him. However I hope you will introduce yourself to Him. He already knows who you are.

Let this quote inspire your blog entry."

Everybody clearly remembers their yesterdays unless they have dementia. So we all look back on yesterday with clear memories. Yesterday is today's memory makes perfect sense. Tomorrow we hope is a good day full of success and prosperity. It may not be but we always hope tomorrow is better than today. So in that sense tomorrow is today's dream.

If Christians realized what Halloween was all about they would avoid it like a plague. Halloween is actually a pagan holiday Christianized by the Catholic church. Many pagans became Christians and then wanted to celebrate the fall solstice and All Hallows Day, which was a pagan celebration of the dead. Rather than have people revert back to their pagan ways the Catholic church compromised and called the day All Saints day to celebrate dead saints. It became Halloween. I want no part of it thank you.

Blog City image small Prompt: “If any help was going to arrive to lift me out of my misery, it would come from the dark side of my personality.” ~ Robert Bly

Do you agree or disagree with Mr. Bly? Do the dark sides of our personality aid us or harm us?"

I'm not going to mince words here. Jesus called the dark part of our personality "sin" and said it was harmful. He said it so that settles it!
