A Journal to impart knowledge and facts
July 22, 2015

I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

signature dancing owl Answers to Blogs for 5 day truth or fiction

This is probably late but here it is anyway.

1. True. And a long time ago. sometime in the late 60's. brush with the law?

2. True. No real comments except. If there is a real answer to this kind of phenomena I would like to find it. Now, I've found some things really odd in books about science and biology. Psychology just denies any type of real ghosts or spirits. Stranger than fiction

3.true. I seem to be pushing toward true in all these blogs. I can write fiction just not doing so today. Where is the money?

4. true: If 2. is true this one is also. As for a comment, a lot of this kind of thing has to do with people who pray at someone not for someone. I say at because lots of prayers are being made toward someone by someone else who just wants that person to be like them or like they think people should be. Not always possible. Any way this has to do with convincing someone of something they may not have experienced ever in their life. Is that even possible?

5.True: Just the way it is. Not all kinds of love are romantic.

Romantic Love?

He was the next door neighbor. The first time I saw him he was driving a tractor around the front yard of the property across the road from where I now live. When the family moved in the property was over grown with trees and brush. They dynamited out roots and reworked the land into a really nice front yard. He was 5 years older than me, the same age as my brother. He and his older brother spent lots of time with my brother. I was the kid sister that watched and examined the antics of the older boys.

As we grew up he was always friendly. He went into the air force after he graduated. When he came home on leaves he started paying a lot of attention to me and our feelings for each other grew. We sent letters back and forth. I married him when I graduated from high school.

He died in an automobile accident after we had been together for 11 years. I have two sons from my first marriage. They used to roll around the floor and play with their dad. Some of the things they did growing up reminded me of his sassy spunk and spirit.

Given that we've all had a ghostly encounter, convince your fellow bloggers that your ghost story is true. (even if it isn't)

I was raised and baptized by protestants. So, did not believe in ghosts. Only reference I ever heard to purgatory was "It does not exist." In the last 40 years I have been delving into all kinds of writings about Christianity, Judaism, and Muslim beliefs. This of course does not make me an expert. Just full of things written about the beliefs on the earth, that deal with Godly wisdom and knowledge.

One of the subjects I'm still very ignorant about is life after death. I don't like the word ghost. Because, I'm sure it refers to the physical likeness of our body that leaves the body when it dies. Convincing other people maybe isn't possible if you prefer denial to a faith driven life.

I'm presently convinced that we look like a younger version of ourselves when we leave our bodies. I'm not sure I believe the essence that is really us can be destroyed by ordinary earthly fire. Holy fire might be something else?

Our bodies create and use electricity. Some people or the essence of a person can leave and return to their own body. This is one reason some groups prefer burial of the body instead of cremation. This is old, old, old, knowledge.

There are websites that will explain electricity and the human body better than this, but I did not give you a reference because it's really indepth study.

Also, our bodies absorb and emit radiation. You have a reference of this one because if you are really interested in the essence that inhabits the body you might be interested in the material.

I have witnesses to the people essences that I have seen walking around. All my life I have had animals around me who were especially friendly to me. Truly, I needed them because people have not been especially nice a lot of my life. Although people who really get to know me usually are friendly and helpful. Hmm...off subject. Except you need to realize that just knowing your body is alive is simply not enough if you intend to live forever. Anyway our senses tell us things we might prefer to deny.

Anyway, I've learned a lot about training and grooming horses, dogs and parrots. I've delved into how to keep them healthy and submitted myself to the idea I should care for them, because they cannot always care for themselves. The Bible states in several places that all animals on the earth belong to the Son of God. Wild or domesticated, both are his possessions. Parrots, dogs, and cats can see things that we cannot. I'm guessing horses too. Have you ever seen a cat start hissing and all the hair stands straight on it but, there does not seem to be any thing unusual in the room?

On one occasion I was taking out a load of manure from the barn. I have to spread it on a part of our property by hand. I often take my dog on the tractor with me. I was working on emptying the cart when the dog began to growl and then bark. I looked up to see a young man (maybe 12 to 16 years of age?) walking across the field. My dog also watched until he just disappeared into ?? He was dark haired, white, and wearing bluejeans and a plaid shirt, probably flannel.

One night I was woken out of a sound sleep by my dog who sleeps on the bottom of my bed. He was loudly growling and whining and backing toward me quickly, I looked up to see two men standing outside my bedroom door. (It was open) I think they were discussing the fact that I was asleep? I recognized both of them but, I won't tell you who they were. They also disappeared on their own. Just suddenly were not there. I held the dog until he quit shaking. As for the scene I already wrote about there is the shoe mark and rough burn mark on the beam.

My aunt, who was a psychologist said there was something wrong with me. She said I was schizophrenic. My aunts and uncles were all masonic and eastern star. They wanted my dad to turn me over to be adopted, so dad got a lawyer and had me tested. Other than extreme high hearing abilities. I was declared normal. Except, I see things sometimes other humans deny the existence of. As a child, I had nightmares that scared me desperately, so I would leave my room and find my dad.

Dad told me he also had some visions as a younger man. There are also people who have the mental power to make people forget or make you see things that are not there? Is it a sexually driven ability.

I do believe the Catholic Church is right about there being some other place where the human essence goes. I personally believe we are shown a river for some reason such as you will find in the Wikipedia reference. The answers to all this do not rest with my knowledge, but with the Living God.

Everyone has a story to tell, so... What did you do with the money?

Manx Cat from Japan

Money

aha! This is where I should get off but, I won't. I was a widow. I did inherit some cash. Over the years, relatives worried more about the money and where it went than I did. I bought a farm, built a house, (which had a mortgage), and raised 4 children. I did invest some of the money but, during the Reagan years the investment was not making money. We were having trouble paying the mortgage, I used the investment to pay off the mortgage. Unfortunately, the same people that don't know an A-frame house from a pyramid have circulated a story that I am extremely wealthy. It's as if they owned my fortune and they can't find it.

I went to college in hopes I would get a decent job and retire with a better social security and hoped to build some equity for children when I die, but, the job market was poor as it continues to be around here. I refused to sell my farm and move which, seemed to be the object. I felt pushed so I stayed.Any way where would I go. Any, deeper answers should be given face to face to those, who dare to ask. After all what town wants horses or sheep in someones back yard.

One pony, 2 parrots, 3 cats, 2 of them dumped, and one dog left. I want another dog but have not found one I can afford yet.

This weekend after an ice storm I stepped out to do the barn work one morning. the birds were not quite up yet. The sky was gray but light. The woods, fields and all the surrounding trees were coated in ice and white, crunchy, frozen snow. It felt warm out. And, it was silent. Not a thing was moving. I could feel a kind of silent music in the atmosphere. A perfect beauty was all around me in the silence. I took a walk, savoring the beauty.

Now, I live as I have always lived. When the money comes in I pay it out. Sometimes, I wonder what will happen to me as I age but, guess I'll live to find out.

- I've heard it said that truth is stranger than fiction, but is it? Finish the story - It started out as any typical day but then...

UNBELIEVABLE?

It started out as any typical day but then, as the sun rose in the sky, the humidity rose with the light rays that were moving across the young forests, that make up some of the land around us. I often rise at 5 a.m. to accomplish morning chores by noon. Then, I can have the afternoon to read, blog or play kindle games.

During the summer of 2018 we had a lot of days of heavy humidity and storms flailing thunder and lightning at us. This day was like many others. As the day wore on the humidity built and the skies darkened. I watched Weather Bug on my phone for updates on the weather. In late afternoon, we were watching some program or another on TV. I walked around the house pulling plugs on any electrical gizmo not necessary to life or ones like the microwave that don't have a surge protector. At this point the sky was so black in the North West that I wondered how small towns and cities in the storms path were fairing. We kept watching what ever program was on at the time. I turned off the TV as the wind increased.

It started raining in a heavy curtain, then a large crack that vibrated the house. A human figure surged through our living room window leaving the glass intact. It was a figure of a young male with dark hair. He was running so fast it was difficult to acknowledge feet on him. He flew straight through the room, through the hall, into the kitchen. I leaned forward, half standing to see where he went. When the figure hit the kitchen there was a load crack and a flash of lightning, the figure disappeared.

I remember thinking how some stupid young boy was spirit walking (Some American Indians call them skin walkers) in an electrical storm. It took only seconds for this occurrence to evolve.

I admit there was an electrical charge in the air as the storm passed over us. Could I have been hallucinating because of the high energy in the air. If I was, no harm was done to the windows or kitchen. However, There is a burn mark on the beam in the living room where the figure hit his head and a tennis shoe print burned into the finish of the hard wood floors in the living room, where one toe touched the floor.

After the storm passed the high humidity was gone. Looking out the living room window I could see the wonderful Tulip tree in the back yard had been hit. I had hopes for it to recover, but so far it has not. All of the lower branches are dead and it did not have leaves on any part of the tree last summer. It was a beautiful tree one of my favorites.

There is a rosary society in the area and when they pray electrical weather can be expected. It isn't unusual for prayer to affect weather, electricity in the air, and other natural events. I'm elderly so some people would like to chalk this up to hallucination, but I read a lot of Quantum Physics which allows for a different kind of world than we often admit too.

Blog Prompt for Day 1 - You've been keeping this from us, up until now, tell us about a time when you had a brush with the law.

Red Dragon

Brush and Law

The tent was hugh. I sat among the crowd looking around at the tent poles and noticing the lighting. The tent must have held a couple hundred people or more. There was sand poured on the ground for footing. The seats were hundreds of fold out chairs set up in long lines with three aisles running down the length of the seating. Well five if you counted the aisles on each end of the seats.

If I was ever alone tonight was it. The elder announced the evangelical meeting in the morning church service. What struck me to attend? When I arrived at the field where the service was being held I parked on the end of a line, so I could leave quickly if I wanted. There were already cars in tight packed rows empty of their drivers and passengers. I was conscious of being a women alone as I walked toward the tent.

Once inside I wanted to sit near the back but wound up closer toward the center of the seating. Most of the back was filled all ready. Other people getting ready to live in a hurry, I thought.

The makeshift stage held several people. There was also an organ setup on the stage. I noticed the pastors of several local churches sitting there. About 30 minutes later one of the men stood up and walked to the pulpit. The tent was pretty full by now. The meeting was starting on time.

We sang hymns which is always fun. With that many people, the tent rang loudly with the music. Then, the visiting evangelist began his sermon. He droned on and on. I don't really even remember the message. What I do remember is getting more and more irritated as it began to get darker and darker outside. I'm not used to being out after dark. My mind insisted on thinking about moving the car out of the lot in the dark, driving through the unfamiliar roads back into town, picking up my children from the church nursery and then getting on home, all in the dark.

Sorry to say it, but I have always been afraid of the dark. Now, I simply dismiss the fear and go where I please at any time, but back then, with the added pressure of the children in mind, I was figidity to say the least.

Finally, when the call to go to the front for salvation came. I moved out into the aisle and left the tent. The sky was clear, as any southern sky can be in the middle of a hot summer day. The stars were out and it did not seem as dark outside the tent as it had inside. I found my car easily enough. Once out on the road I was able to retrace my way back into town and began to feel confident again. I was going to pick up the children and get home. Still, it was later than I thought the meeting would be held.

There is a through street with a stop sign. At the stop, a right turn takes you across the railroad tracks out of town. A block After the stop sign a left turn takes you to the church.

I guess I noticed a car off to my right parked by the railroad tracks, but it did not register. I did a stop and go at the sign probably not a full stop since it was late and there was literally no one on the streets at all, not pedestrians or automobiles. It's a small town and not very lively after 10 o'clock.

I barely got passed the stop sign when the siren on the police car let out a wail. It made me jump, but I made the left turn toward the church and pulled the car over to park at the curb. The police car pulled in front of me and left its light bar flashing red and blue. "Get Out of the Car," He yelled. I exited the car. I really could not see the officer at first because of the lights flashing. "You drove right through that stop sign," he stated forcefully. By, now I was shading my eyes from the lights on his car.

"I'm sorry, I was in a hurry and No one was around." I answered.

So, I stood there for numerous minutes listening to the well meaning lecture about always no matter what come to a full stop at a stop sign or I could be killed. All the time the lights flashing in my eyes. "Where are you going."

"I'm going to the Baptist church to pick up my children from the nursery."

"Where have you been?"

"I just returned from the evangelical tent meeting. Could you turn off your lights they are blinding me?"

There was a rather strange attitude change. He said, "well I'll just give you a warning but, remember what I said about stop signs."

He got in his car, turned off the lights. I got in my car, traversed the couple blocks to the church and went in. The nursery was a steady day and night affair. The women who lived next door to the church was a kindly elderly lady who had raise a few children and was paid to always be on call for congregation members. I told her my story. As a young mother I was a bit upset about my own part in the situation. But, she assured me the policeman should have known better than to make a scene.

Her kind words were appreciated. But, to this day, I stop at all stop signs and count one thousand, two thousand, three thousand, four thousand, five thousand, before moving again. In spite of honking horns behind me. *Laugh*
