Part 2 Chapter 1 It was a long trip to Kaliningrad this time, we stopped at a few places on the way to pick up other members of my family so we could plan our attack together, Rift desperately wanted to come too but with Dom being so badly affected there before we decided he would plot ways to keep Dom away, Jugs had got in touch with his friends, and some of them were coming to. The rest of our family would meet us at the main airport in Kaliningrad and we would go by car and truck to the castle. I had rung Lord Ivanovich and explained to him what had happened, he said if we couldn’t handle it with the Anarque he would have some of the Elites on standby in the nearby country Poland, he seemed to think if we were right an army of dark fae and possibly demons would be coming through the portal at some point in the future. He also told me to stay close to Jugs because he has a lot of experience with these types. I was really nervous, about what was to come, I kept thinking I should just go home, Anya had opted to stay and keep the hotel running smoothly. Irina was working on the clubs in Auckland. I had no idea what we were looking for or anything about this kind of supernatural freaky shit, so I was pleased when Jugs called a meeting in plane when we were at Kaliningrad airport where we were preparing everything. “Ok. I need you guys to pay close attention cause there’s little things that can trigger this type of por-tal, 1st our blood, don’t let any of it drip on anything, we don’t know what is truly meant to be there or what is a possession of a fae.” He opened an old book he had. “Ok we are looking for these sorts of symbols, they may look like something that is meant to be there or they could be out in the open. So pay very close attention to details, they could be hidden in art works or tapestry’s, statues, even plants. If you notice any circles stay out of them, if you get stuck call over the com’s. Hold on we do have com links ah?” “Yup we have all the cool funky spy stuff” Phoenix said “What about weapons?” Jugs asked “Ooooo I know where they are” I ran over and opened up our secret stash of stuff Jugs was behind me “Nice” he said looking over everything “you could mount a full assault on the boss of Chicago with this lot.” He winked at me and we laughed We continued planning, till daylight then slept. In the evening Jugs friends would be here and he would be talking to them to debrief them on the situation. Then we would load up and move out. All this seemed just a bit weird and very surreal, I was thinking constantly why the hell am I here, when did my life become an action movie on steroids, oh yeah when I became a fucking vampire…why did I want to be one for all those years?... It was dark, I could hear voices, and I could feel things in this room moving around, trying to get behind me. I back up to the wall, it opened. I tried to use my bright light power but it wasn’t working, I tried to go invisible that wouldn’t work either, it was like I was human again. I tried to follow the wall keeping my back to it but it opened sliding into the wall, so eventually I ran out of room. Suddenly I saw lots of eyes in the room I was in I turned to see what was through the door, it was a room the size of my ballroom, there were 5 doors around the sides that I could see and the centre of the room was a huge circle, the roof opened up to the sky and the moon was nearly over the centre. Luckily none of the eyes seemed to notice me. A robed man was standing at one of the doors, then more robed figures appeared at the other doors, not through them just appeared in front of them. Suddenly I saw the centre of the circle, there was an alter and a young girl on it, it looked like the youngest of the fairy girls who double crossed me in fae land, the one who was sorry. The robed figures moved to the alter, they were chanting stuff I didn’t understand, they moved closer and closer to her. She started to struggle and squirm I saw she was tied up, and gaged so she couldn’t scream. The eyes were moving in closer, I started to see the figures, all kinds of weird figures and shapes, then I saw behind them a huge dark silhouette, it looked like a man only much, much bigger. They were waiting for something. The 1st robed figure I saw was at the alter he had a knife and he plunged it into the girl on the table I screamed “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” They all looked at me, the 1st robed figure took his hood off…it was Dom…. I woke up with Jugs holding me. “Silver are you ok?” He said looking worried I looked around to see everyone looking at me “Um I’m fine” I said feeling a bit shaken “Ok what did you dream this time?” Ana asked. “I’m not sure” I said. “It seemed to be some kind of ritual, but Dom was leading it and he sacrificed a light fae girl. But I think the room we are looking for is hidden behind a wall” “Well Dom isn’t going to be there, Rift will make sure of that.” Angel said “What if Dom is…” I started to say “I mean he was Gustavo’s right hand.” “Na Dom is a good guy” Jugs said “I couldn’t see him doing anything like that.” “Yeah and Gustavo was such a great guy too no one saw what he really was till he was killed” I said “Good point” Ana said “However in saying that any one of us could be like that” “How are we going to make sure none of us get affected like Dom?” Camille said “I am hopeful that because you guys haven’t had as much of my blood as they did, you won’t be affected, after all my blood should be out of your system now, I hope.” “Ok look my boys are here I’ll go chat with them, I think it might be best to pair up one of mine and one of you guys, just to be sure.” Jugs said “Good idea” Angel agreed “Just tell them if one of us loses it to stake us not kill us” We all started preparing ourselves, we had some small backpacks so we could carry some extra stuff, like more blood in case we needed it, rope, ammo, and explosives. Once we found the spot we were going to blow it up. We were all set and we exited the plane, one of the airport security came over. “What are you doing here?” he said in a thick Russian accent “Nothing you need to know about, everything is fine” Jugs compelled him “Very good sir, have nice night” he wondered back. We paired up with Jugs mates, Jugs decided he was coming with me. We loaded into the vehicles and set off for the castle. It was a two hour drive and no one seemed to feel like talking, we knew what we all had to do. We got to the castle and all got out of the vehicles, the place almost seemed deserted, except for one light in one of the towers, and it gave me a creepy feeling like a dark story about some old nasty wizard who was busy in his tower…I’m sure you know what I mean. We all paired up, a group went around the left to the back to go in any back or side doors they found, and a group went right, the group I was with went in the front door, 2 went left and 2 went right when we got in. the idea being we search the ground floor first then make our way up floor by floor, then go down to the basement. We all carefully made our way room by room floor by floor, and found nothing. Jugs and I went to the tower; there was just a light here that had been left on, but no sign of anything demon or fae. We made our way back down to the ground floor; we were all going for the basements a group of 20 odd vampires carefully going down the stairs and through each room here, the second level of basement had cells, some of the cells were occupied by skeletons of their long dead prisoners, some had vampires who were in a deep sleep due to lack of blood, it was decided we would take their heads off to be sure they didn’t come awake and go nutts, most of them were Eabbaso so none of us had an issue with that. We made our way to the 3rd level. This level seemed bigger than the other two; there were a lot of rooms that seemed to go around in a circle, but with no way to the centre. Jugs and I were on the other side when we found a very ornately carved door that was locked with magic. He carefully checked all around it, and found an inscription right at the bottom in a circle of leaves. “Can you read this” he asked me quietly I leant down to have a look it was in some kind of funny picture style writing, while I was looking at it thinking I wish I could read it, it somehow came clear. “The blood of the lord of the manner shall open the door” I told Jugs. He called the others in to the room. “So who is the lord of the manner now Gustavo is gone?” Jugs asked “Dominic I guess” Angel said “Ok well he’s not coming here to open it.” Camille said “I will try” Jugs said “maybe being Gustavo’s brother will be useful for something” He cut his hand and placed it on the door… we waited and nothing happened. “Maybe Silver should try?” Ana said quietly everyone looked at me “Ok I’ll try” I said thinking it would be no use I copied what Jugs had done and we waited… the door opened to a huge room just like the one in my dream only the ceiling looked normal and not at all open to the sky. We cautiously went inside, sticking to the outside walls. “This room is almost exactly like my dream” I whispered “If that’s the case, the doorway I was stand-ing next to with the strange figures would be over there.” I pointed to the wall on the other side. There were symbols all over the wall that clearly noted where the door was. I could hear a strange faint voice in my head. “Child let us in we are trapped” I ignored it “We need to destroy this room” Jugs said suddenly after looking at the wall “And that wall” “How?” I asked “I’m not sure” he said “Let’s just smash the shit out of everything” Bruno one of Jugs mates said grinning “We have to be careful we don’t know what will release what kind of trap.” Jugs said “Does anyone here know anything about any of this?” “I might.” Lily said “I recognise some of the things here; I know I have seen them in a book, but I just don’t remember where that book was.” “What about Gustavo’s library or bedroom?” I asked “I can go look see if I can find it.” She rushed off with Luca and Bruno following her I felt like I should walk into the centre of the circle to the alter, something was drawing me there and I was trying to fight it remembering Jugs had said stay out of circles. “Come child help us, go to the alter spill your blood let us be your army” I heard in my head. I started to move unconsciously towards the alter. It was like I was in some kind of trance I just couldn’t help myself. The next thing I knew I was out the door of the room and Jugs had me in his arms. “Just what the hell were you doing?” He asked rather mad “I…I don’t know.” I stammered “Ok you stay out here, I don’t want you going into some trance and setting free whatever is behind that wall.” He said. Moments later Lily and the boys came back. “I found it” Lily said “Apparently Gustavo has never been the lord of the place at all” “What do you mean?” Jugs asked “I think is it’s Silver’s family line, this place was her grandfathers, and he was protecting this place when Gustavo found him. Some kind of Family tradition where a child from each generation is meant to protect this place, somehow Gustavo managed to get her grandfather away from here and made him forget about his family’s true job. But there is nothing on how to destroy it. Unless…” she started flicking through the pages till she found one with all kinds of strange pictures, like the ones on the doors. “Can you read this silver?” she asked me. I looked at the pages and to me it was clear as day. I read it aloud. “The alter of change, those who are baron when lain upon the alter on a full moon shall bear fruit, but those who desires are of another sort, shall also bear fruit” “When the moon is blue. The blood of a child of fae and blood of the lord shall bring forth the desires of the Burvis. Let not the blood be infected by evil or the door to hell will open.” “Only one of pure blood and heart shall destroy the place of the doors, If their blood touches the alter.” “Burvis means Sorcerer in Latvian, why would it be in Latvian?” Lily said “And how do we find one of pure blood and heart?” Jugs said “Are we considered evil?” I asked “Very much so” Jugs said “By many cultures throughout time.” “Then I think we should get out of here and close the dam door” I said “I know now why Gustavo left so quickly after turning me, he was going to try opening a door or gaining his desires while my blood still flowed in him.” “So why couldn’t he do it?” Jugs asked “It wasn’t a blue moon” Lily answered “that’s why he needed to get Silver down here; her blood was leaving his system.” “Or he wanted me to bear his fruit” I said remembering why he raped me “So what are we going to do?” Ana asked “Simple find a human child, spill it’s blood on the alter and destroy this hell hole.” Jugs said everyone looked at him in agreement, except me I was just stunned. “So you are going to get a human child up here and kill it on the alter?” I said not wanting to believe Jugs would do this “No just spill a little of its blood” He said smiling “I don’t kill human kids unless they try to kill me first” “Well we should find somewhere to stay while it is still dark.” Bruno said “Hopefully my blood will reseal this door.” I said “ I don’t want to leave it open for whatever wonders in” “Good idea” Jugs said “I’ll stay with Silver while she seals the door the rest of you go find us some-where safe to stay” The others left and Jugs and I pushed the door closed, I cut my hand again and placed it in the same place as before. The door lit up around the edges and closed. “I hope you realize you are staying with me tonight” Jugs said “I’m kind of staying with everyone” I said turning around, as I turned Jugs grabbed me and held me in his arms “No. I mean we will be sleeping in the same bed, or where ever we find to sleep safely” He said smil-ing at me “I’m not letting you get away and accidently opening the door and releasing whatever is on the other side of that wall.” “Why not just lock me in a cell?” I asked “Wouldn’t that be safe as well” “If we lock you in a cell I will be locked in with you then.” He said not wanting to let me go I looked in his eyes and then he kissed me, or I kissed him , I’m not sure but the kiss was the most amazing kiss I had had in my life, I was suddenly dizzy for a moment. Once I found my balance again I pushed away from Jugs “We should go find a place to sleep” I said trying to get away he grabbed my arm and spun me back to face him “What are you afraid of Silver?” He asked “Everything” I said then I used my vampy ability’s to run upstairs. Jugs followed at a much slower pace behind me. I bumped into Bruno on the way up the stairs. “Hay lady slow down” he said grabbing me. Man he was a big guy, to me it seemed he was 10 foot tall and built like a brick shithouse and it was all muscle, he had a shaved head, but his eyes had a softness to them. He was like a big teddy bear. “What’s the rush little lady?” he asked “Just want to find somewhere to sleep is all” I said “Well there’s plenty of rooms here, since you’re the real owner of this place I figure we can crash here” he smiled and I noticed he had a few missing teeth. “Great as long as I don’t get Gustavo’s room, I’ll be happy” I said Jugs caught up to us “Hay Bruno, so you find us a bed?” He said to Bruno “Of course” Bruno said “Just follow me and hopefully it’s not in Gustavo’s room” he laughed and led us upstairs. This place was so old there were no elevators so we had to go up so many stairs, At one point we walked past a window that looked over the courtyard, I could see where the roof of that room opened up. I just hoped it stayed closed and that there was no Blue moon looming for tomorrow night. We got to a room that looked like it hadn’t been used in centuries. It was dark and dusty everywhere except the bed. “I wonder whose room this might have been.” I said to myself “I dunno but the door was locked” Bruno said taking a sheet off a picture on the wall. It was a wedding painting, I walked over to it and I could see exactly who it was. My grandparents, way back when they first got married, they looked so beautiful and in love. “I think this may have been my grandparent’s room” I said “I think your right” Jugs said coming up behind me “Come on we gotta get to bed before the sun comes up, see you in the evening Bruno” “Yup I’m just next door too so if you need muscle just holler.” He wondered off Next thing I knew I was scooped up by Jugs and taken to the bed and carefully put down. He went around the bed and lay on the other side I turned over and looked at him. “Close your eyes” he smiled I did… then I heard clicking noise twice and felt something around my wrist I opened my eyes “Just so you don’t wonder off and set anything free” he smiled as I looked at the solid looking hand-cuffs he had attached to us. “Are you sure you don’t have ulterior motives?” I asked almost semi hopeful “Not tonight, too much at stake” he said “But I will remember that” he gave a dirty grin, it wouldn’t be the first time we had used handcuffs and I giggled remembering the good ole days. We got comfy and went to sleep. When I awoke Jugs was still asleep, I stared at him for a while, the cuffs were still on so I wasn’t going anywhere. He looked so handsome, and so peaceful. Then he looked at me. “Enjoying the view?” he asked “No” I said looking away “I was just wondering how to get the cuffs off without you waking is all.” I lied “Sure Hun sure” he laughed and unlocked us “So any strange dreams I should know about?” “Nope just sleep” I said getting up and going to the dressing table to sort my hair, I looked at the table it was so delicate and beautiful despite all the dust and still set out as if someone had left in a hurry I picked up the brush and dusted it off so I could do my hair. Bruno came in with some of bags of blood. “I wasn’t sure what flavour you drank Silver, so I grabbed a bunch.” He said throwing half a dozen on the table “And female blood for Jugs.” He said tossing one to Jugs who was over by the painting “So what are we doing about this situation?” “Simple we need to find someone of pure blood and heart. I’m sure that village down the road has some kids we can borrow” Jugs said I spun round to face them “Are you sure they mean human though?” I asked “What do you mean?” Jugs asked “Well it’s all fae connected so maybe it needs pure fae blood” I said “You have a good point there, but we can’t use yours its tainted.” Jugs said “You have fae blood?” Bruno said looking stunned “Yeah she does” a voice said from the doorway we turned and saw Dominic standing there looking at me “And she is right to destroy it you need a light fae who is pure of blood and heart” “How do you know?” Jugs said “Because I can read.” He said throwing Jugs an old looking book that was different to the one Lily had; he kept his gaze on me. “I thought you guys might need this, if you really want to destroy the doorway” Jugs was flicking through the book “I can’t read this.” He said tossing it to me “but I am curious how you know how to read it Dom.” “Gustavo taught me and Rift how to read fae writing, he thought it might be important.” Dom replied still looking at me I started to feel uncomfortable. The look in his eyes was of hurt and pain. “So where the hell are we going to get a pure blood light fae?” Bruno asked looking at all of us “I don’t know, but there must be a way. After all there was one in the dream I had the other night.” I said then I started reading the book Dom had brought with him. I couldn’t help feeling something wasn’t right. “So where’s Rift?” I asked Dom “Around” he said still staring at me “maybe with Lily and the other book. I’ll go find him” and he left the room. I looked at Jugs. “He shouldn’t be here” I whispered “I know, I’ll go find Rift and see what’s going on” Jugs said “Bruno stay and keep her safe” “Yup done deal” Bruno said as he lay down on the bed I went back to reading. There was some mention of light fae blood being used to destroy things, but I couldn’t find anything that exactly told us anything we didn’t already know. “Bruno I have a bad feeling about this. What if by evil they mean Light fae? After all this is about opening a gate to hell which some consider evil but dark fae wouldn’t, they think the light fae are evil.” “You think it’s kinda reversed then?” he asked sitting up “It’s a possibility” I said “And this book doesn’t mention the door, just that light fae can be used against dark fae, god I am so confused. There is a part here on how to summon a light fae though” “Let’s go find the others, Jugs knows more about this shit than me” he said getting up “Yeah and Lily knows more than me” I added We made our way downstairs, the place was deadly quiet and we saw no one as we made our way down. “Stay behind me” Bruno said pushing me behind him “Something’s not right.” We snuck quietly down the stairs, the torches were lit all the way down we carefully went past the cells, checking each one. Nothing had changed. We really carefully got the last floor where the circle was the rooms around the outsides had been locked, there were no windows in these doors but I could see auras of our friends behind them, I tapped Bruno on the shoulder. “It’s our friends in these rooms we need to get them out” I whispered “Fuck” He said quietly “Can you pick these locks?” “Maybe” I said not sure I went back to the first door I looked hard at the lock. “UNLOCK” I said in my mind at the lock and it clicked. Bruno opened the door carefully, 2 of his crew were in here staked, we un-staked them and they came to, we motioned for them to be quiet and they were they got them-selves together. “I’ll go get some blood” one of them whispered to us “Get a lot we think everyone is down here like this” Bruno said to him He nodded “I’ll see if I can find some weapons too” he whispered running off back up stairs. We went through doing the same with each door that had an aura behind it. Everyone was here ex-cept Jugs, Rift and Dominic. We finally got to the last room where the magic door was, it was open. We crept up to the door. “You may as well come in” we heard Dom say from inside I walked in with Bruno behind me “What are you doing Dom?” I asked him “What does it look like I’m doing?” he said smiling at me with a knife at Jugs throat, Jugs was lying, half sitting up leaning against Dom staked “Now if I were to kill him, it would take all my competition away. Wouldn’t it Silver?” Dom said “No Dom don’t be a dick, just let him go.” I said “Well if you two do as I tell you, maybe I won’t slit his throat.” Bruno nudged me and nodded his head towards the alter, I looked up and saw the poor fae I had seen in my dream. “Well do I kill him now or are you two going to co-operate?” Dom said “We will co-operate” I said hanging my head feeling immense shame “Good now go stand at the two points nearest the wall” Bruno and I made our way round to the other side of the wall. Dom dragged Jugs to the main point of the pentacle and left him lying on the ground as he stood and started chanting. The roof suddenly opened up Dom walked to one of the other points where a robed figure stood he threw the hood off, to reveal Rift propped up and staked in place. Bruno and I tried to move but for some reason couldn’t. Then he went over to the other one and removed the hood it was some human I had never seen before they were tied and bound in place. He walked over towards me he got to the point just in front of me and Bruno; I looked at Bruno he was looking at me indicating with his eyes to look at the door we came through. Dom raised his knife high above his head and stepped forward toward the fae tied to the alter. Everyone else suddenly rushed in the door, Dom briefly looked up and smiled. Suddenly I could move so I ran to cover the fae on the alter, Dom spun back and plunged the knife into my back through my liver. My blood went everywhere more excessively than I had thought it would, I felt faint. I stood up and turned around falling into Dom’s arms. He looked shocked, I felt very faint and passed out falling off the alter and on to the floor “NO” screamed Dom “What have you done Silver?” The others had revived Jugs who saw Silver on the ground and was now really pissed off. Bruno had gone and un-staked Rift and set the human free and was working on setting the fae free. She had passed out from fear. “You Fucking Idiot What the hell have you done?” Jugs yelled at Dom rushing him ready with a fist to Dom’s face “NO, It wasn’t my fault she got in the way” Dom screamed back at Jugs after his fist connected Dom fell back, but stayed on his feet “Jugs don’t do this” Dom said trying to back off, the roof closed, then started to cave in. “I am going to kill you later” Jugs said to Dom as he turned and scooped me up to get me out of the room. The wall that was the door to hell started to crumble. I came to just in time to see a demon screaming and howling behind the wall unable to move fully into this world. I saw a tendril of black come out of the wall and head for Dom, as I passed out again. Black smoke like tendril touched Dom and he fell down unconscious. Jugs got me out of the room and went back in. He grabbed Dominic and pulled him out as well, just as the whole room caved in on itself. I awoke again in a bed, being feed Jugs blood from his wrist. “I thought I’d lost you.” He said smiling at me “What happened?” I asked feeling dizzy “You saved a fairy and got yourself stabbed. I dunno what happened to Dom but he’s unconscious, everyone else got out ok and the door was destroyed” he told me “actually the whole room is gone I think it is safe now.” “Why do I feel so weak and thirsty?” “Because you lost a lot of blood, you were lucky he only got you in the liver area” He went and got a few bags of blood and gave them to me as I sat up “Here fill up” he said smiling “Why are you smiling?” I asked him as he sat on the bed next to me “Because you’re alive and you will be fine.” He leant in and kissed me “I don’t know what I would do if you had actually died” he said touching my face gently with his hand. Rift came running in. “Oh good your awake” he said looking at me “Jugs can I have a quick word with you outside” “Sure” Jugs said walking out with Rift. Maybe it’s a thing with Vampires not remembering that we have better hearing but they had not moved out of ear shot. “Dom’s gone” Rift said “What do you mean gone?” Jugs asked “He’s disappeared, run off something like that, but he is not where we left him.” “Any idea where he might have gone” “None at all, though I do think he is still in this house.” Rift said “Ok I want you to stay with Silver; I’ll go get some of the boys to come guard her door and gather the others to find him.” Rift came back in the room. “Um Jugs is just…” “Yeah I heard” I said “What happened to the fae girl?” “The girls are fussing over her, she is fine” Rift said “she is very grateful to you though, she wants to come see you when you feel a bit better” “I hope the girls don’t accidental feed on her” I commented “Jugs showed them a way of ignoring her blood call I have no idea how though.” “Good. I think I’m just gunna get some sleep.” I said feeling really tired Rift was babbling about something as I dozed off. Dom was running away from me, “wait Dom” I called out he looked back but kept running “Stay away from me silver” “Why, just stop for a minute and talk to me” He stopped and turned to face me. His eyes were black. “Why don’t you ever listen to me?” He screamed “Because I care about you” “You need to stay away from me, there is something inside me, and it wants to kill you, just stay away” “Lots of things want to kill me Dom.” “Fine then lets end it now” His voice had changed and he jumped at me. I just got out of his way, he had his fangs out ready to drain me if he could get them on my skin, He made another attempt using skills I hadn’t seen him use before, at one point I swear he teleported behind me and grabbed my neck with his arm. “He tried to warn you, but no you just think you know everything. Now you’re going to die and I will be reborn.” Said Dom in a creepy voice I could feel myself losing consciousness, stay awake I kept telling myself. Dom got sick of trying to put me to sleep after a while and went for a bite. I grabbed the back of his head and flipped him over my shoulder on to a root that was sticking up out of the ground. He was staked but still talking “You are going to die by my hand Silver Alexandrov and then I am going to kill everyone you have ever known” I woke up in a sweat freaking out. Looking around I was no longer on the bed but on the other side of the room. Jugs had come back with Bruno and another guy they were all standing around me looking really wor-ried. “What the hell happened?” Jugs said “I just had a dream fight with Dom only it wasn’t Dom, I think he has been possessed. Jugs was already in bed. He smiled got up and was naked in front of all of us he stretched his hot lean body and Angel was nearly drooling but Lily looked away embarrassed. “Yeah but I didn’t feel like it” he said picking up his clothes and putting them on he turned away from us and I saw his back tattoo. You should tell Jugs about what we know and maybe notify that crew Ivanovich was sending about Dom.” “Yup” I said “So what do you know?” he said throwing himself back on the bed. He looked like some hot pirate guy. “Dom is on fae blood, he can communicate with Shaylee. They were all in the library Lily had filled them in on the Dom situation, and how we were sure he was possessed and he was full of fae blood. “So what are we going to do?” Rift said “Find Dom, if we can’t save him we will have to…” I started unable to say the words “Kill him” Jugs added “Do you all think you can do that if it comes down to it?” he said looking at my brothers. “Only if we have to?” Rift said turning to the others “Agreed” Said the others “If we have to kill him we will.” Phoenix said “I am also going to ring Ivanovich and tell him what is going on, the elite squad he sent us for back up should know Dom is on the run and possessed.” I said “Good idea” Jugs said “Now we just have to find a way to un-possess Dom and find him.” Lily said looking back at her books. I went into the hall way to call Ivanovich. “Hello Silver” he said when he came to the phone “How may I be of assistance?” “We have some issues out here, Dom is juiced up on Fae blood, and we think he is possessed by a demon of some sort and he has run off somewhere.” “Did you destroy the door?” “We think so; the demon went into Dom as it was falling down, it seemed very angry.” “Why did you let him drink your blood?” “It wasn’t my blood it was another Fae he lured out of her land.” “What of this other fae?” “She was going to be sacrificed by Dom to open the gate we got the thing backwards and it was my blood needed to destroy the door, though I am sure any vampire would have sufficed, it ended up being my blood.” “Are you alright?” “Yeah, I’m pissed off but that’s all, we want to try and un- possess Dom if we can. I don’t want to kill him; however everyone here has agreed if we can’t fix him we will kill him.” “You may have to kill him anyway, you do realize this?” “Yeah I do” “I shall make contact with the group I sent your way and tell them, I will have them meet you at your place by midnight.” Ivanovich said “Take care of yourself Silver, and be very careful, he will want ei-ther you or the other fae, or worse both to complete coming into our world. You must not let that happen.” He hung up. I went back into the library. “Well” Jugs asked “He is sending the elites to help us they will be here by midnight, but I think we may need some mus-cle guarding Shaylee” I replied “Oh why?” Jugs asked “Because in order to get his full self into this world he will need either me, her or both of us.” “Fine then you are going home and you can take her with you” He said “No” I said “You can send her back to my place but I’m staying here.” “It will be safer for you both to stay away” He argued “No, this mess is my fault so I am staying to fix it” I said defiantly “Silver this is not your fault.” Rift said “Trust me Dom did this crap all on his own.” “Yeah because of me” I said getting angry “Silver Rift is right, it was Dom’s choice to do this not yours” Jugs said “Look I am staying and there’s nothing you can do about it.” I said with a tone of finality “Ok then but me and Rift are going to be by your side 24/7 till it’s over” Jugs said looking at Rift who just nodded “Bruno can you and Alex take care of the fae girl, get her as far away from here as possible and if the girls want to go to let them, the more back up you have the better.” They both nodded and headed to Shaylee’s room. “Ok now we wait for the elites, hopefully Ivanovich told them we are helping too.” Jugs said “I’m sure they know after all they were here just in case we failed.” I said “Well we didn’t fail as such we got the door down” Terry pointed out “It’s my fault, I was too concerned about Silver and Shaylee I should of put guards on Dom” Jugs said “There’s no point trying to place blame for this.” Phoenix said “We were all here we all could have done something, and no matter how you work it each one of us could be to blame.” “Wise words Phoenix” Lily said “No one here is to blame, sadly I have found some information that may help, but it is not good. “Oh” Jugs and I said “Yes we may have no choice but to kill Dominic, even if we can get the demon out of him.” “Why?” “It will depend on how infected Dominic’s mind has become with the demon and the mix of fae blood, he may need to be drained totally.” She said “Let’s wait till the elites get here before we make a plan, it will be good to have their input as well” Jugs said “Maybe they know a way we can do it and save Dominic.” I went for a walk around the house, followed closely by Jugs and Rift. Do you understand that?” “We don’t get sent in for extraction of demons we get sent with kill orders.” Ivan said “And your orders are?” I asked “Assist The Boss Silver Alexandrov, are our orders” Ivan said “but it is my understanding that we are here to help kill Dominic Balfour” “We are not killing Dom, unless we have no choice” I said “And who the hell are you little girl” Ivan got in my face “I am Silver Alexandrov” I said pushing him back away from me “Oh my lady I am sorry” he said bowing “But fair warning please do not push me like that again” “Do not get in my face again and we won’t have a problem.” I said back I looked at Jugs and he was smiling with approval. “Ok Lily have you found anything?” “Unfortunately.” She said coming over to me with the book she had her nose in “We need the alter we just destroyed to get Dom and the Demon separated, without the alter we still may have to kill Dom” “There must be another way” I mumbled “Ok so we kill Dominic?” Ivan asked “No” I said “We can find another way” “Well I never heard of a demon leaving unless it’s host is dead, but it’s your show” Ivan retorted “May I speak with you in private Silver” Lily asked “Of course Lily” I said and we walked out of the room and down the hall a bit out of vampire earshot. “I think you may be able to kill the demon without hurting Dom, using that light you have, but it will require complete focus on the demon, and you may need its true name” “How do we find its true name?” I asked “I think it’s in the book Dom gave us, he would of needed to know it to call the demon through, but it has vanished.” She said “He took it?” “That’s what I think” “So if we capture Dom, get the book back find the name and extract the demon everything should be ok?” “Except Dom may still be obsessed with you” “Well we will deal with that when we get there, let’s go back and give the capture only order” “I can convert one of the cells to hold him while you guys do that” “Wonderful, here’s hoping this works.” I went back to the library while Lily went to sort out a cell that would hold Dom and the demon. “Ok we have a plan. We can capture Dom and hold him downstairs while we work out a better way to release him.” I said “How the hell do you propose holding a demon?” Ivan asked “Lily is getting the cell ready for him now.” I said watching Ivan’s boys mutter amongst themselves. “If you lot have something to say please share with all of us” I snapped at them “It’s just we have never successfully held a demon prisoner, let alone extracted one from a vampire.” One of the others said “Well then I guess you’re about to try something new then” I said “you never know you may learn something useful” “So how do we capture him?” Ivan asked “Easy, use me as bait” I volunteered “No” Jugs said “use the fae girl instead.” “We can’t she’s on her way to my place” I said “Not yet she isn’t” Rift said “I thought they would have left before, when we first told them to.” I said “The plane needed refuelling and there was some delay with air control” Rift explained “Why not use both of them then?” Ivan said “We are not using Silver as bait” Jugs said standing up “If Shaylee and I are in the cell when Dom arrives we may be able to trap and extract all at once.” I thought aloud “I thought you said you needed the alter you destroyed” Ivan said “There may be another way I just need the book Dom has, then I will know for sure” I replied “So why are we here?” Ivan said “You’re here in case we fail then you can kill Dom.” I said “If one of us doesn’t get to him first” “You go talk to Shaylee” Jugs said “I don’t like it but I will follow your plan, and I will be next to you the whole time.” “As will I” Rift said I went off with Jugs and Rift right behind me, Shaylee was still in the room set aside for her with the guards. I went in and discussed our plan with her, she was very agreeable, and we made our way down to the cells where Lily had been drawing all over the roof and walls. So four of us sat in the middle of the cell waiting in the hope Dom would come and have the book we needed. We waited for the rest of the night and slept inside the cell with a few ghoul’s on guard. The elites were hunting the grounds for Dom and that book. They found nothing. 11pm the next night He came. “You think you can hide in a cell what strange fae you are.” He said as he threw the guards away with a wave of his hand I could see a book shaped object under his jacket. “You want me come get me” I said moving back and getting ready to smack him with a dose of white light, Shaylee moved with me. Jugs and Rift backed right off. Dom stepped into the cell; he held his hands out to hold Rift and Jugs against the wall and commanded them to sleep. Rift fell down fast asleep and Jugs pretended to. He stepped right into the middle of the almost complete circle on the ground and Jugs quickly finished the circle and closed it with only Dom inside. He kept coming towards me not noticing Jugs, he got to the edge of the circle that was closest to me and stopped, he looked down and around the room Jugs was standing behind him outside the circle. Dom let out an almighty scream which echoed around the cells and brought everyone in the house running down to the cells. “You may have found a way to temporarily trap me but you will not destroy me without killing this body.” He hissed at me “You couldn’t kill someone you love, you’re too weak” Shaylee suddenly jumped into the circle and somehow got close enough to Dom to grab the book out of his pocket and throw it at me. “NOOOOOOOO” he yelled as I caught the book Shaylee tried to get back out but Dom caught her and ran his hand right through her, he started laughing as she smiled at me and whispered “Do it Silver, do not mind me dying, maybe it will bring forgiveness for the crime I have done” then she went limp and vanished in a white haze. “You evil Bitch” Dom spat at me “Don’t you see I am doing this for us?” “No you are doing this because you are under the control of a dumbass demon.” “I can’t wait to kill you” he sneered “God dam being a demon makes you really schizophrenic” Jugs said “You’re going to be the 2nd one I kill so shut the fuck up Julian” he spat at Jugs I was flicking through the book trying to find the name by which we could banish this demon from Dom’s body. Rift started to wake up. “Did it work?” he asked half asleep “So far so good” Jugs said going to help him up “Silver’s trying to find it” “That’s it I was going to give you power beyond your dreams Rift, everything you’ve ever wanted at your fingertips, but they are trying to stop us and you are helping them” Dom yelled at Rift “Dude stop spitting at me” Rift said “When you are back to being who you really are we shall discuss it” Lily came running in the cell “Silver” she said “Can you come out and talk to me a minute please?” “Sure” I said walking around the circle to the door. After all he is the oldest member of the high council.” He said “Good point Travis.” Sterling said I could tell though he still wasn’t convinced. “Well first things first, where are you staying?” sterling asked “At the trump international, we have a penthouse on the top floor.” I said “You WHAT?” he exclaimed with shock “I have a penthouse on the top floor; it’s a little small but will do for this visit” “Whom are you renting it off?” he asked “No one I bought it” “You What!” he exclaimed again “Are you hard of hearing these days Sterling, I bought the penthouse off Trump international, and paid for them to decorate it before I arrived, they did a great job” “I have been trying to buy that place for the last 3 years.” He scowled “Did you offer them more than the asking price?” “Don’t be absurd, I do not pay full price for anything.” “Then you should of compelled them to sell it to you.” I said “Is that how you got it?” he asked “No.” I replied “I actually had nothing to do with it. My assistant did it for me” “humph” He grumbled “maybe I should have made my assistant buy it then.” “It would seem my lady that you are already quite accomplished as a boss” one of the others there said smiling at me “Yes Gruff is correct there, one of the things about being a boss is getting what you want.” Sterling grumped “Well I suggest you go make yourself at home in your new place. Tomorrow I shall send my childe to show you the city, not that you don’t already know it from your last time here, but this time she can show you the places allowed for our particular nocturnal events.” “That would be delightful thank you my lord” I said politely “I will warn you she is not amused your back here; she suspects you have an ulterior motive, like see-ing Jugs for example.” “I thought he was still in Wellington.” I said “Well dear you need better spies, we know he is not in Wellington, however we have not seen any sign of him here either.” “Oh thank god, that could have been an awkward meeting after the last time I saw him.” I said I noticed every time I spoke Sterling would look at Travis and an older woman who sat quietly in the corner. Each time he looked they nodded. “So what happened last time you saw him. He helped me save Dominic and then we had a huge ar-gument, seems he thought helping me would make me fall back at his feet like when I was human. But I have my Dominic and no interest in him.” “I heard you and Dominic broke up” the woman down the back said “We didn’t break up as such; we are just giving each other space and time to sort a few things out. After all we have forever there’s no rush.” She nodded at Sterling again. “I am pleased and shocked quite frankly that you are being so honest” Sterling said to me “I must say it is refreshing to have a vampire come to see me and not lie through there fangs to me.” “Really, how can you tell?” I asked “Madeline and Travis have a skill that allows them to tell when one is lying.” He explained “You should invest in gathering a Lunaluva and a Kouzlo to be in your council, they come in ever so handy.” “I shall defiantly take note of that thank you my lord.” I said “You’re welcome My lady. Now you may go settle in, I have things that require my attendance and I shall make sure Hester knows to be nice to you.” “Thank you my lord, I shall see you at your next conveyance” I replied we turned and left. Once we were back in the car I felt free to speak again. “God I hate that man” I said as I felt a chill go up my spine “You did really well in there though Silver” Lily said “Yeah I was impressed, how did you make the others think you were telling the truth?” Luca asked “I have no idea, but let’s not push it.” I replied “So where to now my lady?” Jake said “Back to the hotel thanks Jake, I want to relax before I go sight-seeing with Hester tomorrow” I said “Will you be wanting me to drive you tomorrow?” he asked “I have no idea, I would say yes but Hester might have other ideas. You guys are coming with me ah?” I asked Lily and Luca “Sure I will” Lily said sounding excited “Yeah I guess I will too” Luca replied not looking to amused, he really wasn’t into seeing sights I stared out the window of the limo looking at all the shops and clubs that were here, there were so many. I was starting to miss being human and being able to go shopping like I used to, we even passed some of my old favourite shops and a couple of my preferred hang outs. I got a shiver when we went past the strip club I used to work at owned by Sterling. The place I meet Jugs, held one good memory and so many bad ones. We got back to the hotel and I got changed into jeans and a shirt and proceed to veg out on the couch in front of the telly. A sudden thought came in to my head, I have not veg’d in front of the telly for so long, and this was nice. The next evening I woke up and fed as usual then got dressed to go out with Hester, I was wearing a nice little black dress and my favourite thigh high boots. When she showed up she was dressed in a little red dress with red knee high punk styled boots. I nearly laughed because we were wearing such similar outfits. “Good evening Silver” Hester said “I’m here because my stupid sire has decided I should take you sight-seeing around all my favourite places.” She didn’t look very happy about this “Yes I know he told me last night” I replied “But first we need to have a chat” I said offering her a seat on the couch. She sat down looking at me as if to say what are you up to. “I know we have had our issues in the past Hester, but I am here to learn how to be a good Clique boss and I would like to put all our issues from the past behind us and move forward. We have a long Future ahead of us and we cannot go on hating on each other like we have done in the past, it would be counterproductive to both of us” I explained “You really expect me to believe that you are really here to learn from my sire?” “Yes I do.” I said being totally honest, after all I wanted her to believe that exactly. She looked at her friend she had brought with her and he nodded at her. “Ok then, well how about we pretend that we have never meet and start again?” she offered “That would be good” I said then I got up and walked to her offering her my hand “Hi I’m Silver and I am really looking forward to hitting the town with you and your friend” She stood up and took my hand and shook it “Hi I’m Hester and I am really looking forward to showing all the things in this town that make it so much fun” she said smiling a somewhat fake smile I could tell she really didn’t believe me but I had a feeling I had to win her over to get her sire to tell me his secrets to being a good boss, or more importantly the evidence he has hidden to prove he has broken the rules of the clique. We decided to take my car which I was relieved with as it meant I had my driver Jake. The first place we went was the strip club where I meet Jugs, I shivered. “Don’t worry Silver, your one of us now so you’re not going to be put to work, I just want to grab a feed before we go anywhere fun” Hester said “You don’t have to come in if you don’t want to, but it is a safe place to feed.” “Well then let’s go feed” I said smiling We went in, the place looked exactly the same as it had when I worked here, the hostess was my old rival on the stage, she was so pissed off when I left and I’m not sure why, after all I left she got the spotlight back. I could tell from the look on her hagged old face that she remembered me. “Lustuis, what are you doing back here?” she sneered “She’s with me you old whore, now go make sure my table is free, and send us my usual and what would you like Lady Silver?” Hester said turning to me “I’ll just have that waitress there, I wouldn’t want the old whore, and she hasn’t aged well.” I said mak-ing sure the hostess heard me. “Oh this is exciting you’re acting like a real clique Aristi” Hester giggled Hester’s table was half hidden in a dark corner where she could see everyone but none could see her, perfect for grabbing a feed. “You know you should really open a club like this of your own, but with males something for us girls.” I suggested “Yeah that’s an idea, and I no doubt could make money off it, god knows Sterling is getting a bit shitty with me spending his money and not creating my own.” She sighed “And I am sure there’s plenty of down and out hunky man flesh out there that need a job.” “I know there are, I think I have fed on half of them, something else my sire disapproves of.” Hester said “Oh he doesn’t like you feeding?” “Not on the down and out, but I am very picky I only do the good looking ones. He would rather I feed on people who hang out in the art gallery like he does.” She explained “Well then build yourself a strip club, and feed all you like on your own private stock, can’t get more exclusive than that.” “I’m going to do that, next time I get some free time I will have someone work on it for me.” “I would love to attend the opening, but I am only here for scant 2 weeks, I have my own bossdom to run after all.” “Well if you be an ass to everyone you’ll be just like my sire, I love him dearly but he can be quite an ass at times.” We finished our feed and left the strip club, we then went to a club I was told to be very careful in. it was called viata de scurgere, this whole club was dark and eerie even for me. I didn’t remember it from when I was living here, till Hester explained the owners paid her sire an exorbitant amount of money, just to open this club 2 years ago, and continues to pay weekly for the pleasure of being here. There were all sorts of beings here, all of them had sanctuary while in this club, so some never left for fear of being killed once out the door, Hester saw someone she recognised. “Wait here, I’ll be right back.” she said leaving me to look around. I was approached by a hot young man. “Well hello, you must be new here.” He said “Rather” I replied noticing Jake had moved closer to me making me a little nervous “So what is a fine vamp like you doing in a shit hole like this, shouldn’t you be over at the art gal-lery?” he asked “Why would I want to look at stuffy old art when I can see so much artistic beauty right here?” “Oh so your one of them?” “One of what?” “An Anarque, not of the Clique” “Oh no I am Clique alright; I just prefer the art in the form of body’s” “Oh girl I like you, welcome to my club, I am Damian and this place is my haven, I hope you under-stand that, I paid a lot of money to have it this way.” “Oh I understand completely, and I think your club is great, but I am just passing through.” “Yes I saw you arrive with that whore Hester, are you friends with her?” “Yes I am.” I lied I saw him smile like he saw right through my lie “Just between us girls, anytime you want a break from them, feel free to come here and enjoy me.” With that he moved away and went on to another girl who I noticed was human. She seemed totally enthralled by him and they went through a door to a private room. Hester came back in a hurry “We have to go now I need to tell Sterling something important” she grabbed me and we rushed out the door Jake driving us to the art gallery. I followed Hester inside and upstairs. She burst in the room where her sire was. “Sire I have some bad news” she blurted out “Oh” he said turning to her looking like he was going to smack her one “The Eabbaso have made an outpost here they are preparing to attack us.” “Really Hester and where did you hear this preposterous information?” “Viata de scurgere, I saw Lando trying to sneak out before I saw him and I followed him” “LANDO IS HERE” sterling yelled “How fucking dare he set foot in my city after the last time I would think he had some sense to stay the fuck away. Where did he go what did he do?” “He went 3 streets over from your club and up some stairs, I didn’t go any further but I saw 4 Eab-baso come out before I left.” “Show me on the map I want that building exterminated, Oh Silver this will be a good lesson for you in how to deal with unwanted guests in your area.” Hester pointed out the exact building using Google earth and Sterling face went pale, he looked genuinely scared. “Are you sure Hester? This better not be one of your let’s get him back games.” Sterling seemed to be getting madder by the second “I am positive.” She scowled back at him “I know for some reason you have a special interest in that neighbourhood, so I knew you would want to know immediately” “What do you know of my interest in that neighbourhood?” He yelled at her “Just that you own something there” she said seeming very afraid “Nothing, it’s not important, I will have the boys head out and exterminate any Eabbaso they find there, thank you Hester for bring this to me so promptly” “Of course Sire.” He took her by the face and whispered something in her ear and she smiled and nodded to him. “So Silver are you enjoying my town yet?” he said turning to me “It’s nice, not much different from when I was human though” I replied in a very bored way “Maybe you would like to join my enforcers in taking out some Eabbaso?” “Thank you for the offer but I feel I would be nothing but a hindrance to your enforcers and the Eab-baso must be dealt to swiftly using only the most open of prejudices. I’m sure your team will not need nor want me there.” “Good move” he said “It would be silly for a boss to roam on into a direct conflict. I am pleased you think my enforcers will be enough to deal with the issue.” He then turned to Hester “See Lady Silver gets home safely and come back here.” Then he turned back to me “I am afraid I have to insist that you go home and remain there for this evening. I wouldn’t want you getting caught in all this” “That’s fine, maybe tomorrow evening if you have some time you can show me what makes you a great boss.” “Yes, yes I will.” He said “after all you are not here long” Hester and I left and Jake took us back to the hotel. Hester waited with us for a while and then she left, I beckoned everyone to come into my bathroom and I turned on the shower simply because I had seen it in movies “I’m sure this place has been bugged” I said “So we will have to be very careful what we say, I need to get a message to Jugs, I think there is something very important that Sterling doesn’t want anyone to know about somewhere on south franklin street near Adams street, I only got a quick look but when Sterling heard Eabbaso were there he freaked.” I told them “Wow the Eabbaso are that close in town, that’s not like them.” Lily said “I could go scope it out” Angela offered “No one here knows me and I have a habit of blending in and not being seen” “I’d rather none of us put ourselves in that kind of danger, Sterling was sending out his enforcers to deal with the Eabbaso, mind you having someone keeping an eye on things would be good.” I said “If he is hiding something there he will no doubt move it as soon as he can, and if he does we need to find out where they are going.” “You could use the satellite we own to track the street and if Angela wants to go there maybe slap a tracker on whatever vehicle he uses we could follow him without being there.” Lily piped up “There’s a couple of restaurants and café’s down there I could just go all tourist and have nibbles” Angela suggested “How will I know if it’s a vehicle of his?” “No idea.” I said “He only drives American cars, depending on the size of what he is hiding though will depend on what vehicle he takes” Jake said “If he goes there at all” I said “he will no doubt send some of his “willing” slaves to do it for him” “I shall go keep an eye out for anything and report back, if I can locate whatever he is using to transport whatever secret he is hiding I will put Lily’s tracker on it.” Angela said “Ok but please don’t do anything that might get you in trouble” I said. “I can’t wait to go home but I want all of us there in one piece.” “Be good if this is the evidence you need.” Jake said “I am beginning to miss my forge” We laughed and went and helped Ang get ready in silence. Making the occasional remark about how boring it was going to be if all we could do is sit here and play on the computer. Angela left for the area we thought something might be happening and we waited; she had all kinds of interesting surveillance gear that Anya had brought with us, from mini cams to tracking devices to listening devices that couldn’t be seen. We sat tentatively waiting for anything to happen so we would be able to figure out what was going on and if it would be of any use to us. Sterling’s clean-up crew came and went not noticing they were being watched, Angela put a tracker on their leaders bike so we would know where they were going, we watched the computer as the red dot went back to the art gallery and then to a bar in town. Then the call came from Angela “3 trucks just pulled up at the address and they are loading boxes into the trucks, there’s a lot of boxes, I’m going to see if I can get close enough and plant the trackers” she said over the comm’s The satellite had moved into the right position for us to watch what was happening, even though there was a 30 second delay, we could see everything. Angela placed trackers on the first 2 trucks and went to the 3rd but was stopped by the driver. “What the fuck ya think ya doing lady?” he yelled at her walking over to her “I have lost my dog, have you seen a small little Chihuahua around here, I was just checking my ac-count and she took off, I’m so scared she might be hiding under one of your trucks and you might run her over.” Angela said so innocently “There’s no mutt there lady now move the fuck on” the driver said rudely at this point Angela was next to him she touched him and said “You are going to take this camera and place it making sure it cap-tures everything you see tonight, and then you are going to forget it.” “Sure sexy, is there anything else I can do for you?” the driver said totally changing his tune “Yes actually can you tell me where you are going?” “Yeah we are taking this stuff to a warehouse down by the docks” “Oh why?” “Because the boss doesn’t want anyone getting hold of them, apparently it would tear the fabric of our society apart.” “Oh dear that’s not good” Angela saw others coming out of the building with more boxes “Ok I have to go you have a good night and thank you for checking for my dog” “You’re welcome lady anytime” he said getting back in the truck. Angela walked back to the restaurant across the road “Did you get all that” she said in the comm’s “Yup now we just need to find out if it is the damming evidence we need and find out exactly where the trucks are going” “The docks are the Anarque area why would they move sensitive information there?” Lily said “They are hiding under the noses of the very people they don’t want getting it “Jake said “It’s what I would do” “Ok Angela come back now if you want” I said into the comm’s “Yup I am on my way, did you pick up the trackers?” “Yup we got the bike still at the bar and the trucks just leaving your area.” “Awesome this was fun. I’m coming home” We watched the red dots go in separate directions, but all relatively in the direction of the docks. We were waiting for them to stop so we would know exactly where to send Jugs when there was a knock at the door. We all hid what we were doing and Anya opened the door. It was Sterling. “Evening Silver, he said walking in like he owned the place. “I have decided that I want to show you something. You will want to pay attention because every boss needs a place like what I will show you; however the others here will have to stay here. This is something for bosses only.” He grabbed my hand and led me out of my penthouse and to the elevator. “There’s no need to be so rude. I can walk without being dragged you know” I said to him releasing my wrist from his hand “Well I wouldn’t want you getting too bored, so I thought I may as well speed things up so you can go home. Besides Hester seems to think you have turned into a very good clique boss and a possible ally.” “Oh what makes her say that?” “You became a lot more about you and a lot less about others.” “Well I am the only one I can truly trust.” “Till you get your own childe yes that is true” “Do all Childe end up so blindly faithful.” “Sadly no, I had to kill my first 3 choices, Hester was the best though, has the Sire bond, I can trust her with anything.” We got to his car and the driver opened the door, I was starting to get nervous. Then we headed to the docks. I noticed on the way we were joined in convoy by 2 covered army trucks and a couple of hummers. “You seem nervous Silver what’s wrong.” Sterling asked “Let me see you drag me out making me leave my bodyguards behind, so I am totally alone, and then we are joined by other vehicles. I have no clue where we are going and you are after all a boss and a vampire with a reputation of knocking things off when they get in the way.” “You think I am going to kill you then?” “I’d like to see you try, however it is not so much you I am worried about, it is your friends.” “They are just here for our protection, relax.” “We do not exactly have a good past relationship for me to base a relaxing mood on Sterling” “I know you are more powerful than me, but please. I have no intention of harming you at all.” “So why do we need protection?” “We need to go into an area we are not exactly welcome, so it just pays to have protection.” We were at the docks before I even realized it, and headed for the same warehouse 2 of the trucks went to. “Ok we are here, come let me show you my collection.” We got out of the car and walked into the warehouse, the place was huge and filled with boxes that claimed to be dvd players and the like. We walked past many isles of what seemed a normal ware-house, and then he stopped. I paced a tracker on the shelf nearest me and made note of where and what isle as I watched him push a bottom that looked like it was for some kind of lift to help get boxes on the upper shelves, but I was wrong. The floor opened up next to us. “Ladies first” Sterling said pointing to the hole. I started to climb down the ladder; I was half way down when lights flickered on revealing a hallway. Sterling was right behind me, but no one else came down the ladder. This put me at ease a little. He led me through a maze of hallways, I noticed some rooms off this hallway had windows and inside there were all kinds of torture implements and some rooms had blood splatters. “This is where I carry out my investigations, many an Esabbo have died down here.” He said seeming proud of himself. We went down some more stairs, this hallway had a number of cells in it, some of the cells were occupied but some nasty looking characters. “These are the Eabbaso we caught earlier” sterling said stopping at one of the cell doors. Inside there were 2 men both looked like they had been homeless most of their lives. “Our issue is they seem to be a decoy” Sterling explained. “The whole nest we cracked were all fledg-ling scum. Not one single leader amongst them.” “Right” I said understanding. The Eabbaso were the type to turn people for the hell of it, or the great-est reason to throw people like Sterling off what they were really doing. “I would like you to see if you can get any useful information out of them” he said smiling at me “You want me to interrogate them?” I asked thinking I have never done anything like that before and wouldn’t know the first thing about it. “I would not be so cruel as to throw you in unprepared, first you can watch me, then you may have a go.” He walked into the cell and dragged one of them out, but only across to the other side of the hallway where there was an empty cell. He effortlessly threw the guy into the cell and went in behind him. It didn’t take long before the homeless man was screaming in pain as Sterling started tearing off small strips of flesh using only his nails. All I could think was why not just bite him and find out through his blood if he knows anything. But I saw the look on Sterling’s face; he was enjoying the act of tormenting this poor guy who really knew nothing, not even what an Eabbaso was. It seemed pointless to me and I was disgusted by the manner in which sterling did his interrogation. Surely he didn’t expect me to do the same to the other guy. The screaming finally died down as there was barely anything left of the guys skin there was blood everywhere, and before he died Sterling drained what little blood was left in his near lifeless body, then he extended his nails to long claws and cut the guy’s head off. “That was disgusting. His blood is like…indescribably foul, and he was useless to my cause.” “You want me to do that to the other guy?” I asked “No you may interrogate him any way you see fit, being you’re a female I would expect you to be more” he paused looking for the right word “seductive about getting the information I want.” I laughed “So you want me to seduce the information out of this guy.?” “Well you can use unnecessary force if you wish, but I would love to watch you seduce him.” “How about I get you the info you want my way, I really do not care for seducing scum like this, it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.” I walked into the cell; the man was cowering in the corner having seen what Sterling had done to his friend. “Do not fear me, give me the information I want and you shall not meet the same fate as your friend.” I said in my most soothing voice. Looking him in the eye to compel him to open up to me. “All I know lady is some guy offered me 500 bucks to live in an apartment in the city, I swear.” “What man, can you give me a description.” I said still looking him in the eye “He was wearing a red cloak, he had lots of jewellery and he had a scar on his face. I don’t really re-member anything else.” “Give me your wrist friend.” I said to him and he offered me his wrist I bit into it and saw he was telling the truth, but I recognised the man who turned him, he was from Sterling’s council, the Kouzlo elder. I turned around as Sterling closed the cell door on me and The Kouzlo elder came up behind him. I threw up the blood I had tasted “Don’t worry dearie you will have your turn soon enough.” Travis said to me smiling an evil grin. “What the fuck are you doing Sterling?” I said through the bars “Keeping my world safe from the likes of you” he seethed at me “You are too trusting Silver, you are a weak boss and a pathetic vampire. I am going to find out all the information you know about the Anarque and use it to destroy them, and your friend Jugs will be the first to suffer at my hand.” “What the hell are you talking about Sterling?” “I know you are working with them, why else would you come here when there’s hundreds of other bosses.” “Because I know you, I know that you are ruthless and …never mind, no point wasting my breath.” “No your right if you want to waste breath you should just tell us everything about the Anarque what they are planning and when, and where I find Jugs.” “I can honestly say I have no idea where he is, I haven’t even spoken to an Anarque since I got here, so I have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about.” “My lord” Travis said quietly “Why don’t you go and relax I shall get what we need out of her” “Good idea Travis, you are so much more skilful at this, and she won’t be able to overpower you.” With that Sterling stormed down the hallway and down another set of stairs at the other end of the hallway, it was then I noticed the camera. “Give me your hand Silver” Travis said trying to compel me. I carefully put my hand out to him so he would think it was working “There’s a good girl” he smiled revealing horrible distorted teeth. He took my hand and held it firmly staring me in the eye the whole time. I started to feel a strange sensation going from where his hand touched me and crawling up my arm, it was like a frozen burn, I started to fight it, sending it right back to the hand from whence it came, I saw the look on his face as he real-ized what was happening, I drew on my fae powers and sent light into his hand creeping into him faster than he could gasp in horror, as his arm started to smoke, then he was dust as it got to his whole body and he disintegrated in front of me. Opps a little too much I feel, laughing to myself. I looked at the camera, and mouthed “your next”. I kicked the door open and stalked my way down to where I had seem Sterling go. I took me phone out to see there was no reception. I opened the door with a blast of light, to which 4 men behind the door were thrown to the floor and knocked out. I grabbed the nearest ones machine gun and headed down the stairs. I had a look further down to see a lot of men coming up all heavily armed and Sterling at the bottom screaming “Do not let her escape or I shall kill you all” I decided in that moment the best thing to do would be exactly that, escape, get help and destroy the son of a bitch from the inside out. I went back out the door I had blown open. I looked at all the cell doors that were closed “OPEN” I yelled and they all opened to which a bunch of dishevelled and bro-ken slobs came carefully out. “Hay over here” I yelled to them they all came over to me “Do not let them get away with what they have done to you, go hard and kill them all” I said offering the way down the stairwell. To this they all ran for the stairs and the gun fire got loud. I could hear screams from both sides as I made my way through the hungry vampires headed for the stairwell hoping none would bite me. then I saw a familiar face. “Alex?” I said he looked at me with glazed eyes as I grabbed him “Snap out of it Alex” I yelled slap-ping him in the face. “What the?” he said coming back to his senses “Silver?” he said still confused “No time now Alex is there any more Anarque here?” I said holding him and looking him in the eye he looked around quickly “Not that I can see, but where the hell are we?” “I’ll explain later we have to get out of here.” I pushed him in the opposite direction of where the pris-oners were going. He happily went with me. We ran to the first staircase. I suddenly heard a voice in my head “We are on our way hunny hang in there” I knew it was Jugs; thank the gods he was here. We got through the door to the stairwell and I locked it using my fae power “How did you do that?” Alex said still a bit confused “Magic” I said smiling as we started to head up the stairs we got to the next level and started past the “interview” rooms. “Wait” Alex called out as we went past a few rooms “we need to help these guys” “What?” I said just wanting to get out and noticing everywhere there were camera’s “Some of these guys are Anarque we need to help them” he said going into one of the rooms and running to the guy hanging from the roof by his neck there was blood dripping from his mouth. Alex couldn’t take it and started to feed on him with a frenzy I hadn’t seen before. I ran in and ripped Alex from his feed and looked him in the eye “STOP” I yelled and he came back to his senses “you cannot feed here, take some of this” I offered him my wrist he bit hard, and I winced then I pulled my arm from his mouth. “Thank you Silver.” He said looking at me “now can we free my friends?” I leapt up and sliced the rope with my nails “of course” I smiled my wrist had not fully healed so I let a drop fall into the mouth of the body on the floor. He woke up instantly. “What the fuck?” he said looking at me “Lustuis? Is that you? Am I dead?” then he saw Alex “Come on bro we got people to save, and yeah that is Kelly Lustuis, but we call her Lady Boss Silver now” he explained to his friend. Who instantly jumped up took stock of the situation and started opening doors and helping people. “I don’t know why your blood is that powerful, but I’m glad you’re on our side.” Alex whispered before going to help the others. I followed behind trying to quietly give each of them a tiny bit of my blood to help them. Before we knew it we had 10 men and 4 woman ready to get the hell out. We went to the ladder that went up to the warehouse. We could hear lots of banging some sounded like it was coming from the stairwell, some from above us. I pushed a button on the wall which opened the floor above us only to have Bruno fall in on us with a large sledgehammer. “Watch it bro” Alex said laughing as Bruno nearly landed on him. We could hear a lot of gun fire above I looked up the ladder to see Jugs face smiling down on me. I practically leapt up the ladder into his arms. “Are you ok Silver?” he said holding me tight “I am now” I said smiling back at him “I sealed the door to the next stairwell, Sterling’s been filming everything that goes on in here, I didn’t see the 3rd level down but the stairs there are kind of full of Eabbaso and Sterling’s men. I set the Eabbaso free and let them go hard on each other” “Good move, keeps them busy” he smiled “ok let’s get you out of here, what he has done to you to-night is enough to have him killed by not just high council law but his own dam Clique laws too.” We turned to leave. I noticed a lot of Jugs men in the doorway. Motioning it was safe to go through. We ran at vampire speed out the door, the other warehouse where the other truck had gone was under heavy attack by Anarque and Talon. I looked at Jugs and heard in my head “His unit has been placed here to take on this matter, there’s 4 elite groups sent by Ivanovich to take down this prick, and once Ivanovich hears what happened to you I’m sure he will wipe the Clique from my town.” We went around the long way to avoid the fighting. We were far enough away from the gun fire that Jugs started just walking, Bruno and Alex and a few others were with us. Jugs turned to them “If you guys want you can go join the fight” he said to them “I’d rather make sure you two got somewhere safe.” Alex said “I’ll leave you guys then I’m gunna go kill me some clique’s “Bruno said laughing. As he turned to head back we happened to see a manhole cover open up on the road near us we all looked at it as we saw the back of someone’s head pop out and turn, It was Sterling. Bruno opened fire instantly on his head then Jugs stopped him as Sterling went back down the hole. Alex jumped down the hole after him, followed by Jugs and Bruno. I waited I had had enough excitement for one night, and I had a feeling Jugs wanted this guy alive. Next thing I knew Bruno was back up the ladder and on the street holding a rope, I helped him pull the rope up, there was a perfectly staked Sterling hanging on the end of the rope. Then Jugs and Alex came up, Alex had blood around his mouth. “Bosses always seem to taste better than normal vampires” he said smiling and licking his lips there were teeth marks on Sterling’s neck. I just laughed. “Come on we need to get out of here, he would be expecting at very least a driver to pick him up, and we need him alive so he can be judged in front of everyone” Jugs said “if that’s ok with you Judge Silver?” he turned to me “NOOOOOO I am not a judge.” I objected “We can argue that point when we get out of here” Jugs said smiling and we left with all the stealth and speed we could as vampires, back to Jugs home. We went inside. They trapped me in a cell and then Travis tried to freeze me from the inside out, needless to say it backfired on him and he turned to ash, then I broke everyone out with some help from Alex, and then Jugs and everyone came in and saved us all.” “So you killed the Kouzlo?” “Yes.” “As it turns out he was the brain behind everything Sterling did, is it true you also captured Sterling?” “No I didn’t personally but I was there.” “Tell me how that went down.” “We were getting away, when his head popped out of a manhole, Jugs, Bruno and Alex jumped down the manhole and staked him before he could get away and we have him secured in a safe place awaiting his trial.” “I am having the other sheriff’s brought to you and Jugs for judgement, I think you should be the new judge” “No.” I said “I don’t want any more responsibility than what I already have, and once this is done so am I.” “Really?” “Yes.” “Pass the phone to Jugs please.” I handed the phone to Jugs “Yes I know she won’t do it we already had the discussion last night.” Jugs said to the phone “Yes lord Ivanovich, I understand” “Yes my lord she is standing here giving me the evil eye” Jugs said smiling “I will explain it to her” “Yes Lord Ivanovich thank you for assistance” Jugs hung up the phone and handed it back to me “Sorry darling but you have to be the judge in this case.” He kissed me before I could object I pushed him away “What do you mean I have to?” “Well because of my current standing here being an Anarque and all I cannot Judge a Clique Boss, you on the other hand As a Clique Boss and Having been assaulted personally by Sterling have much more say than me here, until you appoint the new boss, or let the whole city come back to the Anarque.” “Do the Anarque want the city back?” I said looking at Jugs and Bruno “Yes we do” Jugs said “Won’t that mean you have to stay here?” I asked Jugs “Only for a short time, then I will hand the reigns to Bruno or Alex and leave Chicago forever.” “What if we don’t accept it?” Bruno said suddenly faced with his friend and boss leaving their town “Then I will find someone who will, my time is done here in Chicago Bruno, this place no longer holds anything I want.” “Oh so you are leaving us because of her?” Alex said “No. I left this place a while ago Alex you know that, I was just lucky to find Silver again.” “And I don’t care if Jugs stays here, I will stay with him.” I said in my own defence “You can’t you have an area of your own to run Boss Silver” Bruno said “I’ll give it up then.” I said “If I have to be a judge I can appoint Lily or Luca as boss of the middle of nowhere” With that both Lily and Luca looked at me with shocked expressions “You can’t do that Silver.” Lily said “I wouldn’t be a very good boss” “Besides you only just got the posting.” Luca said “Which I didn’t want in the first place” I reminded them “How about we just see what happens tomorrow, and chill out till then, what will happen, will happen” Jugs said “Well I have a need to go party hard, Angela Hun do you have any of those little treats on you?” I asked “No but I can make one in a matter of moments once I get the ingredient’s” she said smiling “Do you know where to get them here?” “Yes I do.” “Shall we go herb collecting then?” I said “No you’re not leaving here till the trial tomorrow” Jugs said as he swept me off my feet “don’t worry I will keep you occupied” he smiled a dirty grin “I can get what I need myself, Silver you go have some fun” she laughed with that Jugs started carry-ing me down the hallway towards his room. Everyone except Jugs and myself were busy the rest of the night gathering and compiling evidence for the trial, arranging the trial which would be at midnight in the art gallery, and The elite squads in the area were rounding up Sterling Childe and co-conspirators. The next night with only a small amount of the filed evidence, my personal statement, and the testi-mony of those who had been previously compelled by Sterling or his Kouzlo friend to do things that would be against any treaty with the Anarque and other clique members were gathered early at the art gallery. A big bald guy and an African American guy walked into the bar (sounds like a joke really) with some rough looking guys behind them. “JUGS” the bald guy yelled I recognised him from the bikers that “cleaned up” the Eabbaso in the apartment 2 days before. “Well, well, well if it isn’t Sheriff Davion and Wayne and their little crews of elitist’s” Jugs said walking towards them “We just came to thank you guys; we are not here to cause trouble.” Wayne said “Yeah and to apologise for the actions we often committed against your guys” Davion said “In our defence we were not acting under our own steam so to speak.” “Yes we know, tell me when did the compel break for you two?” Jugs asked “2 nights ago, we were both about to attack some of your guys who were surrounding a warehouse, but it was broken and we left instead to sort out all this crap we started to remember” Davion said “Yeah so thanks for killing that Kouzlo Jugs.” Wayne said Jugs laughed “Don’t thank me, thank Silver.” He said nodding his head at me “Wow you turned Kelly Lustuis into a vampire?” Davion said shocked “No I didn’t.” Jugs said sounding a little sad “Oh yeah cause if you did we would have to kill you” Wayne said winking “No I seriously didn’t, my brother did. But he is no longer an issue either.” “Just so you know there is actually a bounty on Miss Lustuis head” Davion said “Oh from who” I asked standing up “Sterling ordered it.” He replied off handed “so where is this Silver I should be thanking?” “I am Silver.” I said standing next to Jugs both their mouths dropped “Ok Silver Lustuis” Wayne said “How the hell did a fledgling like you take out a Kouzlo like Travis?” “Maybe cause I am just a wee bit cleverer than him.” “How did you do it, I want to hear details” Davion said smiling “He made the mistake of trying to freeze me from the inside out, so I fried him from the inside out.” I said as if it was nothing new “So why are you guys the ones calling court today?” Wayne asked “Lord Ivanovich, your ultimate boss, decided Boss Silver would become a judge and I was made a sheriff in order to sort out the problems here.” Jugs said “Holy crap you mean Kelly Lustuis best stripper I have ever seen is now a Vampire and a boss and now a judge too?” Wayne’s jaw dropped “Yes Wayne, she is.” Jugs replied looking very proud “Well whatever happened doesn’t matter now, we appeal to you my lady to go easy on us, so we can go back to what we are best suited to” Davion said seriously “What is it your best at doing?” I asked “Killing Eabbaso wherever they hide, that is our job, both our crews are supposed to be traveling the world wiping them out. However it seems we have been held back from our duties due to this fiasco with Boss Sterling.” “I shall think on it” I said “Just make sure you’re at the trial, many heads will roll tonight and I’m sure some of them you would personally like to see.” I said “That’s another reason we are here” Wayne said “We are wanting to escort you all to the trial, just in case any of Sterling’s supporters should still be out there and waiting for you.” “What you think me and my friends can’t do that small thing” Jugs said “Oh no we mean no offence Jugs, it’s just you are Anarque and you are about to walk into a clique den. We just want to make sure you and all the evidence get there safely” Davion said Jugs turned to look at Alex and Alex nodded. “Ok then you two can ride in the van with Sterling, Silver and I” Jugs said “Your friends can ride be-hind us, Alex you can lead a group behind them, Bruno you’re up front.” Everyone nodded “There’s also a couple of Elite groups guarding the art gallery, for extra safety” Davion put in. “Cool so once we get there we should be fine, here’s hoping none of Sterling’s supporters have mis-siles on the highway.” Bruno said We started to get ready to leave. It was going to be an hour’s drive and we still had to revive Sterling for his trial which would take some time as I would not allow my blood to be used. Jugs pulled me to one side. “Ok here’s what is going to happen, I have a young girl to stand in for you in the van. You can go with Terry after we leave, the real body of Sterling will be riding with you, he is going to take a totally different route to us, so we are the decoy, ok” Jugs said in a quiet whisper I nodded and leant up to kiss him, he responded with another of his magical kisses. “Oi, you two cut it out you had all last night for that.” Alex said coming up behind us “So we ready to do this?” he said quieter. “Yup, I shall just go to the kitchen for a minute, I will see you in the van” I said winking at Jugs I left the boys and waited quietly out of sight of everyone. I was watching out the window for them to leave and as the convoy of cars, 4X4’s, a van and a bunch of bikes rolled away Terry came in. “So you ready for this?” he asked me I turned to look at him. “Do I look ready?” I asked “You look pretty dam Fine for a judge.” He said smiling I was wearing a white silk shirt, with a short black skirt and a black waistcoat with a tailored black jacket that went down to my knees with my classic thigh high boots. We went and got into the van that was parked out the back. It reeked of death, as the smell of Sterling seeped out of his coffin. “Let’s get going the less time I spend near that the better” I said Terry just laughed and drove off. We took a lot of back streets and wound our way around half of Chicago before we arrived at the art Gallery, I could see the elite’s all over the place, but I knew if I could see these guys I bet there is twice as many hidden from sight.. We saw the bikes of Bruno’s and Davion’s men parked out the front and the van that was the decoy parked off to one side. Davion was yelling at Jugs due to being deceived about Sterling’s body and the Safety of the Judge as we pulled up next to them. “See she is here and she is fine” Jugs said opening my door for me. Bruno, Alex, Wayne and another guy pulled the coffin out of the back and took it inside. Jugs and I followed them in. we went into a room where there were all of Sterling’s childe and their childe chained and not looking to healthy, but all were being very co-operative. I suspected they had been compelled by the way Hester was smiling at me, an actual smile... The boys opened the coffin and Jugs turned to me. “Do you want to do the honours?” he asked “Sure” I said walking over to Sterling I pulled out the stake. He awoke with a cry of pain and started looking around franticly to find something to defend himself. I grabbed his face and made him look me in the eye. “Tonight you are going to be calm, tell the truth to all questions asked of you and accept what hap-pens as your own doing. Do you understand?” He nodded and went calm. He was then dragged off the table, chained and fed. “That was a nice move Silver” Davion said “Thank you, I just want this over fast as possible and it seems if he is compelled to be truthful then it will be over faster.” “Most here would have rather you beat the truth out of him” Wayne said “I’m not most though, I have a habit of not being like others.” I laughed and walked out of the door. Terry and Alex stayed to guard the Aristi that were here, while the rest of us went to the “throne room” of Sterling’s. The local Clique council were here being the elders of each clan, each of them had been un-compelled so they would remember anything done to them personally by Sterling and his friends. Davion and Wayne’s men were carrying in a lot of boxes, one of them gave me a list of what they had already gone through and found that breached either the Treaty with Anarque, or committed an offence against the Clique, or any breach of our secret lives and ability’s that he may have recorded. Needless to say there was a lot, it was decided we would just burn most of it, and Jugs had decided the easiest way was to set fires in the warehouses and just let them burn till everything was gone, I thought it was a great idea, Sterling was due for death for just one offence so we saw no point in keeping all of it for the trial. The elders all seemed rather restless and very annoyed that they had been duped into doing things and ignoring things they would never have turned a blind eye to. Many of them were accosting Davion and Wayne when they walked in about the crimes they had witnessed or committed and each was told, they would get their turn when the trail started. They also wanted to know who the hell the judge was going to be; after all they thought they knew all the high council judges and none of them were here. Jugs instructed me to go stand at Sterling’s couch and ordered everyone to sit and shut up. I walked to the couch that was risen on a small platform I turned to face everyone. I raised my hands in the air and yelled out “Sit down and shut up please, let’s get this underway we have a lot to get through and not a lot of time as I want this over before I go to bed.” “Who the hell are you?” one of the crowd yelled “I am Silver Alexandrov, Boss of mid New Zealand and Judge of the high council, I am here to see this trial to its completion, Travis of clan Kouzlo has already paid the ultimate price for his part in the deception and treachery that Sterling masterminded and is now a pile of ash. I personal now know that I have been compelled by Travis to do some unspeakable acts against my fellow vampires of both Clique and Anarque. It is my understanding that now that it was Sterling Romanov who gained favour with Travis by setting these acts in motion, and I demand justice” “And what acts did he make you do?” I asked “I said they were unspeakable, is that not enough?” she said “No sorry this is a court and trail we will need some details; however do know none of this shall be held against you, as you were compelled to do these things and it was not of your own free will.” “Very well, he commissioned me to paint a few works of art that required some major spells aided by Travis, painted in blood, to spy on and in some cases call demons forth to kill some of our previous members of council, The previous elder of the Lunaluva were amongst the victims, the elder of the SS clan has a listening painting in his main office, The Sheriff’s Davion and Wayne have 2 each one for listening and one just in case they cottoned on to Sterling’s plan’s that would call forth a minor demon to take care of them. I assume you do know how to Fix your work?” “Well yes of course, but they are blood works and very valuable.” “What would you suggest then, shall we let the paintings cause harm to others, or shall we allow oth-ers to listen in on your blood work in order to gleam information they should not necessarily have?” “Well no but….” “Destroy them, end of story.” I said trying to be firm “My lady” a rough looking man stood up. He looked as if he had just got off his Harley after a lengthy road trip “I am Dante, the elder for the Angels, may I speak?” “Very well Dante.” I said much to Arianna’s disgust “I have been privy to many of Sterling indiscretions, all under compulsion of course, I can honestly say that he and his childe are responsible for all the discourse that has happened here since his arrival about 20 years ago now, in my clans case we were incited to commit crimes against the Anarque, in some cases our own bloodlines, We raped, pillaged and killed many weak Anarque. For this I would like to extend a great apology to my brothers who are still with the Anarque, I hope to see Sterling and his childe sentenced for their crimes so we can once again commune as one clan and not be so divided.” I saw Davion and Wayne watching him carefully and looking very suspect. I looked at Jugs, and beckoned him to come over to me. “What do you say about this Jugs, as you are the leader of the Anarque?” “I understand his wish however wounds run deep and it may take time to get relations back to where they were 20 years ago.” “Well then, Dante you will rectify anything you possibly can, you will help the Anarque rebuild what has been destroyed in the hope one day you will get your wish.” “Thank you my lady.” He nodded and sat back down. A very hairy man then stood, he looked like he stepped out of a Viking movie “I am Gruff; I am leader of Farkasfalka here in this shitty place. I have had Sterling and his childe chase members of my own clan around our own sanctuary for sport and kill many of the younger ones. I look forward to watching his punishments.” “Thank you Gruff, I shall make sure you are around to see just that” I said and he sat down again Then a frail looking gothic girl stepped forward from the back where she was standing. “My name is Lacresha, I am the elder for the daughters of death here in Chicago, We are numbering one clan who has not had any crime done unto us, However we sympathize with our brethren here and wish to see justice done.” With that she slipped back into the background. “I wish to speak” said an old man who was wearing red robes akin to Travis’s “Very well and you are?” “I am Gerald previous and now new elder of the Kouzlo here in Chicago.” “Good and what do you have to say?” “I wish to inform you that while my clan is not popular amongst the Clique and even less so amongst the Anarque, We were not directly involved in the plans of the traitors, and to that extent I would like to offer Arianna help with the disposal of the paintings held in many elders homes, I feel somewhat to blame for my childe’s actions, of which I was not made aware of until his passing these 2 nights passed.
