Hi there brother 😁! Even though this is an old blog, you made a lot of valid points on a screwed up situation! I'm from the USA and agree with you that Trump wasn't the dude to make America great. Now it's Dec 2023 and the unbelievable reality now is the Bastard is running again! Not that there is much of a choice for anyone to do better. Nikki Haley is Republican ( I'm Democrat big deal!) She is at least intelligent and well-versed and foreign policy, she was governor in South Carolina ( when we lived there 2006). She also served in the United Nations.
I'm not planning on voting because it doesn't matter who gets in, nothing changes for the better ( for folks who don't have much dough!!) Thank God for people like you and Andre banana 🍌 who really see the Matrix for what it is!
Keep writing buddy!
I do not think many of us here at WDC like Trump and his brand of politics, but hey, I could be wrong. I cannot speak for everyone. I never interpreted your earlier blog as acceptance. Trump seems to like publicity if it praises him, and serves his agenda. Trump is a manipulator, he knows which buttons to push, and one of the big ones is a fear of immigrants and terrorism. He lumps them together. I agree, not all Americans deserve to be painted with the same brush that stained Trump.
Hmmm I had to come back and right a wrong here. I'm not totally happy with the blog entry I wrote. It's funny how, when you start out to write a blog entry, you have an idea of what you want to say, and where you want to go with the entry, but then as you start to write, it goes somewhere else and ends up not being the blog entry you had in mind from the beginning. That's what happened with this one. I started out with the intention of talking about my disgust for the Trump administration and the people who support it, but in an effort to not offend the American people I know, like, and respect I fell short on the points I wanted to make, and ended up with a half hearted effort pointing out the ridiculousness of the administration's policies.
This started bothering me after I replied to SandraLynn's comment.
In my reply I failed to share my true feelings, and I falsely claimed, or implied that I like Trumps kind of madness.( I DO NOT!)
I'd like to retract that reply, and rewrite a reply as follows...
I understand completely how many people like, and thrive on Trump's kind of madness. We have a good example of this in history.
Adolf Hitler https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler had the complete support of his cabinet, the SS, the gestepo, his military, and the countless Europeans, who in their apathy failed to stop a movement that ultimately murdered 6,000,000 Jews.
I'm not comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, Hitler was an experienced politician, intelligent, and well spoken.
Donald Trump is pretty much a fucking clown, but just as dangerous and deplorable, and so are the people who support him.
I'm sad that we have to go down this road, which I believe, without a doubt, leads to death, carnage, human suffering, and the irreparable destruction of our planet, because of a (minority of the American population) scourge of ignorant, hateful, self-serving, cowardly racists.
Hi SandraLynn
It's not unfathomable at all, I didn't say I didn't like Trumps kind of madness. I just don't see it going to anywhere good.
I spoke with a couple of my American friends who told me that they avoid talking about politics all together, because it's such a divided topic and nation.
Thanks for dropping by.
It's unfathomable, but too many people like, and thrive on Trump's kind of madness. Many of us also avoid politics. We don't pretend to understand it. Hey, good luck with your other writing endeavours!
