Hello. This is my Fresh Water Journal. Please stop by a post or two and leave a comment if you agree and especially if you disagree. I'd love to hear your perspective.

It's been a while since I last visited. Don't ask why I'm stopping in today. I don't have a specific reason, other than I'm scrolling through blogs and recognized yours and decided to stop in on a visit.
Since we've lost the prompts from the blog site part of New Horizons, I've been wandering around and looking for others. I did get a response to one and have the logo in the introduction to my blog.
The keeper of the community says he'll drop prompts in the mailboxes of the members twice a week. Check it out and see if that helps clear your writer's block.
I meant to post this, but I guess it emailed by accident the first time:
I wonder if the concept of a long, healthy life is undergoing an culture bias? There was a time when living a long life was something to be coveted. Among the young, it doesn't seem to be so any longer. As I age, I find that there is always something new and interesting to learn, places to go, things to experience. As long as you have your health, why not live for a few hundred years? Centuries ago, people lived to an average of 45 to 50 years. When you were in your 40s you were considered "old". Now we all average around 80 to 90 years and experience this in relative good health due to the advances of science. A doubling of our average lifespans. 50 is the new 30. I don't see anyone regretting this or thinking that we are living beyond our time. Why not extend this concept? If everyone lived to be 300 years of age and in relative good health, why would this be a bad thing?
As to frowning on people that are over 100 years of age? Why? What harm could they do you and what wonderful memories and wisdom they have to share. People like this are a treasure to any community.
Very thought provoking, Ellen. "This" moment is special. You are right, interesting. Stay beautiful in your time, don't worry about the days ahead. Beauty is right now!!
Intersting, the good rules the heaven and the evil rule the world. Hum. Makes since. But still we are to render unto ceaser what is due. Why? I guess for orderly evil. Hah. Thanks for the comment.
