much ado about writing
I have been told a blog helps readers understand what I write and why. I have been writing since I was 16 and find it the most natural thing in the world to do. I have had complete novels develop over the course of a weekend. I have not had any formal schooling but learned what I liked and did not like from reading novels by the likes of Margaret Moore. Johanna Lindsey, and Kathleen Woodwiss. My novels all start with a nugget of fact from the medieval period 1100 to 1245. For example my novel Falcon and Amarice has to do with King Stephen being taken captive by Empress Maude. My timeline of the book parallels the history books. The characters concerns are those present at the time.I have a reference library of more than 100 books that I rely heavily on to make sure my writing is accurate for the time period. I have married my love of history and my love of romance novels into historical fiction that drops a reader smack dab in the middle of the 1100's.
So that is the short answer as to why I write what I write.
