Whether the writing blues the writing highs, or just a question, I will post it here.
Most of my blogs will likely be made from the comfort of my own home, sitting in whatever PJs I am currently wearing, with a cup of high-test tea to my left. Others will be made from the comfort of my local coffee shop with free internet, also with a cup of high-test tea to my left.

As I begin to build my writing business I hope to get feedback and support from fellow writers willing to guide a new writer. Much of my work will be professional projects for hire. Any writer must eat while she works on her Great American Novel.

Please drop in and say hello from time to time. Your thoughts and insights are always welcome. Tea not included.

I have finally broken open my journal. Again. It has been almost 3 years since my last formal journal entry. At least in hard form. I have been using LJ for a few years, but have dropped out of that, I guess.

Journaling is such a relaxing form of personal reflection I wonder why people don't do it more often. Well, not really. The internet takes more and more of our attention every day.

Personally, as much as I love the internet, I love personal interaction much more. Nuthinn' like it!

Make time to write. How many of us have heard that mantra? How many years in a row has that been our new year's resolution? I've lost count how many times I've promised myself to make time to write. And here I go again.

I am interested in successful tactics by other writers to make this "make time for writing" happen. Especially from those who are slow to wake and get tired in the early evening. I have no children, only a husband, so I have few excuses beyond my own lack of will power.

Happy New Year!

Last week I was afraid I would not have enough work to bill in January, now I find most of next week filled! Oh happy day.

Where does one go to get more writing work? I see all kinds of books and articles about getting freelance work in magazines and newspapers, but what is there for those of us who write scripts?

All thoughts are welcome here...

Since 2007 was the second-worst year in my personal history, I resolve to make 2008 much, much, better. That shouldn't be hard. Hopefully I will get more writing work. I like the solitude of working a lot on my own, yet being able to interact with people when I need to. Of course, having a better writing space is also on the list.

Since me and the hubs will be moving to Wilmington, NC this year, I am hopeful that this will be a good move

How is it already December 31st? Aren't I just about to get married? Oh wait. That was in April. The deed is done and we are about to celebrate our first New Year's together. This is one we will certainly remember.

I'm sitting in a local coffee shop, charging my laptop and using their free internet connection. Our power is out at home. So, out we came to use power and internet for the price of a cup of coffee.

I am in such a better place this time around than I was at New Year's last year. I had just lost my job and was as confused about life as ever. I'm still confused (always seem to be) but I am certainly clearer about somethings. This week will find me working on my business website in an effort to gain more writing business.

I am open to ideas. I do need to decide what it is I want to claim as my niche. Guess I'll take my time this week and figure that out. Hopefully, it won't take another year.

If I get this battery fully charged, I'll have about 2 hours of good laptop time this evening for some creative writing. Perhaps inspiration will strike about the time the big ball drops.

I love writing video scripts. It's like putting together the pieces of a puzzle, but you get to design the picture as you go. Choosing sound bites, then writing the interstitial narration is, simply, fun. Now how do I go about getting more of that work?

The nice thing a bout being a teacher is I can take all kinds of free classes on cool stuff. Today I have been learning Dreamweaver. I'm making a website for my classes. So far - so good.

Being a teacher is cool. Talking about stories and essays and stuff is cool enough, but I just finished my first full day of Dreamweaver class. I'm on my way to making myself some cool websites! Finally!
