Ink is the strongest drug, the deepest ocean, the longest journey and the strangest love..
I am a writer... A teen writer... Teen as in highschooler... Highschooler as in insanely-busy-geek-with-no-social-life-outside-of-school-and-abnormal-circle-of-friends-who-are-all-at-school-anyway-and-don't-really-count... *smacks forehead* I don't know whatever possessed me to start doing this, but you know the old quote:

"Ink is the strongest drug, the deepest ocean, the longest journey and the longest love..."

Okay, so that isn't an old quote. I made it up. But hey, I'm a writer!

Rated "T" because I get a little heated when I rant angrily... Not scorching, but more than lukewarm...

The fact that I felt deprived without my blog really shows that I am getting consistent. Talk about goodness! *whoot*

Nothing much to say, just wanted to alleviate the pain of my absence. So now I leave you in pain as you wait for me...

Yeah, sick, but good news first...

*WHOOT* Turns out my teacher did not resign but is on paid leave. Stuff has been happening that I won't relate because it is kind of confidential. But she isn't gone!!! *dance party* She's going to come back! *fingers crossed that all this crap gets sorted out*

Now, bad-ish news... (but not that bad, so no need to feel sorry for me)

I threw up yesterday on the way to school, so then I was taken back home and I slept the rest of the day... and when I say that, it means that I actually slept straight through from 7 am to 5 pm. Then I woke up and ate some crackers, but then I went back to sleep for a while... So yeah, I missed school that day. I only threw up once too, so that was good. I hate it when you can't eat anything or you will retch it back up in about five minutes.

Then today, my mom said that I wasn't going to school today either. *gah* I don't want to miss school. I was planning on a perfect attendance record this year. But now I have three absences. Granted, they are all excused, but I don't like it! Personally I think I could have gone to school, but what my mommy commands, I rush to do... Well, not really, but I did feel like sleeping in. And now I have the weekend as well. Talk about a break! *whoot* Then, next week, we only have school Monday and Tuesday, because Wednsday marks the beginning of our Thanksgiving break.

So yeah, fairly excited about all of this development. Yay for me!

Wrote it forever ago for a creative writing exercise and figured I could post it...

10/29/07

It sits unobtrusively on the gray-smeared white board. "Fitz Crackers was here -> then Orpheus read..." It had been a standing joke between Demi and I, based on the book "Inkspell" by Cornelia Funke; the second in the "Inkheart" trilogy. In that book, the character Orpheus can read characters out of books and people in the real world into books. Demi and I were obsessing about Dustfinger, and so Demi wrote on the unused whiteboard in the computer lab "Dustfinger was here -> then Orpheus read..." We left it there for a long time, then one day came back to see that someone had written a continuing story, with arrows leading from one part to another part.

Dustfinger was here -> then Orpheus read -> then he ran away -> into a forest of wood nymphs -> they ate him -> but they didn't like him -> so they puked him back up -> The End...

We didn't know who had written it, but we thought it was funny. So we left it.

Then when it was finally erased, we wrote a new version of the joke, one that took up the entire board:

Dusfinger was here -> then Orpheus read
Mo was here -> then Orpheus read
Resa was here -> then Orpheus read
Mortila was here -> then Orpheus read
Basta was here -> then Orpheus read
Orpheus was here ----> then Meggie read

It was funny also, so we left it there for a while as well. Then today, as I sat in the computer lab, a dude walked in and sat in a chair near the whiteboard. We were talking as I absently typed at the computer. Then, when I looked up, there was new writing on the board.

Fitz Crackers was here -> then Orpheus read

My name at school is Fitz Crackers (Ritz Crackers, but with the R replaced with an F... hey, I didn't make it up, but I like it...). This kid had no idea what the joke was about it, but he had played along with the last story, and so was carrying it on in innocent naivety. I thought it was funny and so it will remain until we have come up with something better. There was also a story that went along with mine, but I erased it because it really made no sense, unlike the last one. But my name sits on the whiteboard, marking where I had been until that fateful moment when Orpheus started to read...

Yup! I am starting to work on Ocean of Tears once again. And when I say working on, I actually mean writing, rather than my butchering... *huggles bloody cleaver* I just wrote two pages in about 45 minutes. *whoot* But it is kind of hard... I hate beginnings...

Poor little Bane. He is so abused. He's become a bit younger in my second draft, at least at the beginning of the story. But he's still the bundle of angst and suffering that we all love.

*sigh* Well, must now leave. I am going to get a little more writing done, then I have to go and read something like 40 pages of the writings of John Locke for my history teacher so that I can then compare them to the Declaration of Independance and pick out Locke's influences... GAH!

Ta!

Yeah, have calmed down quite a bit. To relieve all of you that oppose child abuse, I did not beat my brother... :)

I am really tired right now... Big whup, yes?

Some of my school went to "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" at UMW last night. It was great! I cannot express how impressed I was with the production. (and I am too tired to attempt it anyway) We got a backstage tour and stuff and so I didn't get home until about 11:30 and then didn't get to sleep until about 2 as I read back issues of Writer's Digest... (I don't have a subscription, but the library is a wonderful place, let me tell you...)

Anyway, nothing else much to say... My haiku (see below) are now also on my FP account... If you read me here, but not on FP, please stop by... It will make me feel good. *puppy eyes* To everyone from FP (esp. Casey): Thankies Mucho! You all make my day...

P.S. Sorry for the abruptly short post after my few days of ranting, but tough stuff for you all, yes? I have worn myself out for your entertainment...

Here're some haikus I have come up with during these past few crazy days... Mucho proud of them I am...

11/8/07
murky brown oozing liquid
chunks barely showing
thick odors flooding the nose
==========> beef stew (yum)

11/8/07
old, faded words of learning
erased by careless strokes
taught to us then forgotten
==========> dirty whiteboard

11/8/07
blood lines weaving in and out
in knotted order
chaos' twisted defeat
==========> red sweater

11/8/07
a festering welt of pain
throbbing and pulsing
it punches into the sole
==========> blood blister (have one on my foot, I do... > __ <)

11/8/07
two white mountains sleeping deep
resting under white
slowly the hills shrug and rise
==========> sleeping student's shoulders

11/8/07
crackling, rustling, dry
like snakes' shed skin cast off
as the dead cracks off, blood flows
==========> chapped lips (get them really bad around this time of year, I do...)

11/8/07
graceful lines flowing downward
open into petals
should danger come, it will cry
==========> fire water sprayer thingy on ceiling (methinks the title as poetic as the poem... ;D)

11/8/07
long ribbon of creamy white
in a tight-wrapped roll
hiding side of sticky death
==========> sticky tape

11/2/07
it's spreading like a disease
an opaque white swarm
infecting all in its path
=========> spilt milk (my personal favorite and the first of this series to be written...)

11/2/07
the edge drags through the soft skin
tearing it apart
the valley begins to bleed
==========> paper cut

11/2/07
vast field of plastic buttons
vomiting answers
still need my fingers to push
==========> caculator (me no likies the algebraic thingy that they seem to find so necessary to live a full life...)

Sooooo... Whatcha think? Am I crazy?

I AM NOT WEIRD!

*a broad wink to everyone at school... none of whom are actually probably reading this...*

I was going to type out another angry rant, which I actually wrote out longhand during classes (I usually do that and then type them up later... helps me pass time) but I got sick of being mad and decided to be sickly sweetly cheerful today... Didn't really happen, but I tried...

Got feathers?

I am so ready to beat my 10 year old brother up. And I am totally serious.

My brother has anger management problems and I have a suspicion that he is bipolar as well. Yesterday, while I was at school, he apparently pitched a major fit: calling my mom an effing SOB (which doesn't work since she's a girl...) as well as a bitch and so on and so forth. So yeah, when I heard that, I was already ready to kick his arse. I'm sorry, but you do not speak to my mother that way. She may be annoying and act stupid sometimes, but you just don't talk to her like that or you will have to deal with me...

But then I hear (through a third party, so I am not entirely sure and haven't asked my little sister about it) that he had also been cussing out my little sister. What the hell? She's five! What did she ever do to him? So yeah, I was even more pissed off...

THEN, I find out that he had kicked the door while my mom's head was poking through as she talked to him. This of course caused my mom's head to be slammed between two pieces of wood with great force. She apparently collapsed on the floor and then my brother climbed out of his window onto the porch and and ran off into our woods. My mom went to the ER, and I have to be picked up by a mom from school and had to spend 3 hours at their house doing Latin because she couldn't take me home since her son had a doctor's appointment. Good news: I am now ahead in Latin. Bad news: I didn't get the word done that I actually needed to do that was due today. (I did get it done, but I was up until 10:00) But my mom is fine and she is home now...

I am not kidding when I say that I want to kick my brother's arse. If I had been there when that had happened, I would have beaten him. He would have had to go to the ER with my mom and I would probably get arrested or something. I am not a violent person: when I get mad, I clean things and rant here. For me to seriously want to beat someone to a pulp should say something. I wouldn't be any better than him, because I was ready to cuss him out and beat him.

So yeah, still bitchy I am... Plus today is an "A" day and I hate "A" days. AND... my internet isn't working at home, so right now I am on my school's computer.

I am pissed.

Well, I won't beat my brother now, but if he ever does that again, I really will hurt him. This behavior has been going on for quite a long time and has been increasing in intensity over the past few months. It is wearing down my mom and that has been ticking me off. It is verbal and now physical abuse. My mom annoys me quite a lot and there are times I think that maybe she could be a better parent in some ways, but I would never talk to her like that.

Another thing that is bothering me is college. My mom wants me to go to a Catholic college (I am Catholic) and has be driving me crazy about it. I've tried to explain to her that I would like to go to a Catholic college, but I want to go to the best college that I can get into. I really like Amherst, which happens to be 2nd on the USNews list of best colleges for Liberal Arts. You have to go down something liek 20 spaces to find a Catholic college. I've tried to tell my mom that I'm not going to give up a better education to go to a Catholic college. It's not going to affect my faith. She didn't seem to get it, so I finally said straight out that I'm going to listen to hers and my dad's advice, but ultimately I am going to make my own decision. There was a moment of silence, then my mom said that she's going to let me make my own decision, but then she started to bug me once again, saying that she also made her own decision but that she had made the wrong decision. I retorted that everyone makes a wrong decision in their life. Another moment of silence, then she said something like she had never had anyone to talk to about college when she was young, so she wanted me to listen to her. Or something like that. I had stopped paying attention. I had spoken my piece and that was it.

Yeah, still in a bad mood. I don't know what's wrong with me. But hey, it gives you a lot to read. I write a lot when angry. I hope you all enjoy reading my woes...

*crickets chirp*

Not much has been happening with editing "Ocean of Tears" and I feel bad about it, but I have no motivation right now. Angry...

Still mad at my history teacher.

Hate "A" days.

My brother is being an asshole...

Yup, yup, yup... Still pissed off...
