oh no... these people don't believe the propaganda and sees today's conflict for what it is...oil... but we were discussing the issue in sweeping terms that all wars are started for economic reasons.

I agree that economics is the primary reason wars are fought. You're just not discussing the issue with people who can think for themselves and don't suck up all the Bush propaganda

you seee... i agree.... economic inequalities create war... the followers of bin laden feel disenfranchised from the 'capitalism/westernization' of the u.s. and western nations... that's what they fight against... capitalism is our culture... it's ingrained in us... but no matter... the debate about capitalism ending war is probably a weak one... but the idea is if you have a world of capatilsm/westernized hegemony...people won't go to war... because they'll be busy trying to survive and keep up with the 'jones' is it right? of course not, but would it work? jury is still out on that one...
