This is a series of short accounts of things that have happened in my life. Some funny, a few serious and almost all involving family members including children and pets. What would life be without them? Since many of these are memories, they will cover most of my life. But, they will not always be about me. Sometimes I was merely an observer, as you will be. We may move from place to place, but we drag our own clutzy selves along every time. I have found that, for me at least, life is hours and hours of boring work and sameness punctuated by moments of sidesplitting hilarity or absolute panic. So, here's to life..may it last forever.
Glad you are making such great progress katsy. Now if you will hurry up and sell that novel I will be first in line to buy it....but you are going to have to sign the thing for me!
OH YEAH! Now that was a good one. The next time Zvi comes into the store I will have to give him a congratulatory high-five. Hopefully you don't break his arm between now and then.
Little kittens are so cute aren't they. I am glad it's you and not me that has to deal with the little furbag though. So what did you name the little fellow/girl/furbag?
Hi Sweetie! It is so good to see you back in here and not only blogging but sending that wonderful writing off to publishers. If you get the chance, make the rounds and say hello to some of our wonderful friends in here. Oh and btw....a little hint for you....if you need a short story reviewed, sweet talk zwisis into doing it. She gives some of the best, toughest reviews anywhere around this site.
*stands up and applauds* I am much in the same situation right now, except I have no familial ties to my "squatter." This week I reached the breaking point and gave him 30 days to vacate the premises.
What you have blogged on are the exact feelings I have towards him - lack of work ethic, lack of being ashamed at freeloading, sense of entitlement, etc... I pay money to live in my house and so does my husband. I don't see why he thinks he's entitled to live for free where ever he wishes just because we gave him 3 months (that quickly turned into a year) to help him get back upon his feet after being laid off.
The biggest thing that makes me angry is that he thinks just because we gave him a little, he can take everything he wants without asking.
Many hugs to you - and hopefully she'll be out very soon to leave you in peace.
If "Journalling" is hard for you at times, try what I do....just pick a subject, any subject and write down your thoughts on that subject....expound on a theme, so to speak.
Besides, "Journal" is such a disagreeable word, it is one of PlannerDan's words....go with "Blog". This word gives you much more freedom when it comes time to write.
What can I say that the others have not said? I agree totally. I am contiually amazed at the way the Democrate politician continue to make political points in congress rather than help win this war, which could be won if they were not hampered and fought by the liberal press continually.
Katsy, you have expressed my own beliefs and have done it so much better than I ever could have. You are right on the mark, I am afraid and I see no way this country can be brought to its senses without getting bloodied yet again.
You site the attack on Pearl Harbor in your entry but I think there is one big difference....the country which was attacked by the Japanese had an underlying core of steel which the enemy understimated. Our country, today, I am afraid has lost that steel....we are soft and I fear we lack the intestinal fortitude it takes to lock into a struggle to the death....I really hope I am wrong.
