Almost Five Hours Yesterday

That is how long it took me to finish the paperwork at the beginning of every shift at my new weekday post. That’s how busy it was yesterday at work. In fact, it was so bad that it actually felt like five hours. True, it went by very quickly. But it still felt like I had been working for five hours. Usually, when I’m working it doesn’t feel like I work as much as I do. What I mean by that is that it usually feels like I’ve worked five or six hours each day instead of eight. But that isn’t how it felt yesterday at work.

It didn’t get too much better in the last three hours either. That’s because it was still extremely busy. Both incoming and outgoing busy. I had numerous problems during those last three hours. A lot more than I normally have had working at this post. Yes, I know a lot of that is because of the time of year that it is right now. But I don’t think that’s the only reason, though. I think it’s another attempt to get me to quit so that they don’t have to fire me. If that’s true, then they are sadly mistaken.

What does all of this mean when it comes to my writing? It means that I didn’t get any writing done yesterday on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I took my writing supplies with me to work yesterday. and I took them out to use them. But because of how busy it was at work yesterday I didn’t get the chance to use any of them.

Unfortunately, I have a very bad feeling that it’s going to be that way today too. If it’s anything like yesterday, then I won’t be able to get any writing done on the first episode Scene Outline for this project. And there is a very strong probability that it will be that bad or worse today. It is usually kind of busy on Fridays. Which it was last Friday. So, it is most likely it will be that bad today. If it’s not even worse. And that is also a good possibility.

I will just have to wait and see. It could go either way. I’m hoping that it will go my way. And that I will be able to get some writing done. Even if it’s only a few single paragraphs. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens, though.
