Much Worse Than Wednesday
Much Worse Than Wednesday

If someone had asked me if I thought that yesterday could have been worse than Wednesday at work, I would have written that is impossible. But I was wrong once again. It was a whole lot worse than it was on Wednesday. I wouldn’t write that it was twice as bad. It was very close to that. That’s how bad it was. Especially, during the first half of it.

Between how busy it was yesterday and the paperwork that I had to do when I first get to work, it took me over three hours to finish that paperwork. Most of that was because of how busy it was. I was on my feet almost every second that I was there. It’s very hard to work on paperwork when you constantly have to get up every second.

Work wasn’t the only thing that slowed me down during the first four hours of my shift. I also had an Incident Report that I had to write up within that time. And that took me about an hour to do. So, in between the paperwork work and the IR, the whole first half of my shift was beyond extremely busy for me at work yesterday.

The second half wasn’t too much better. I didn’t have the main paperwork to do. But I did have to update it. And that happened a whole lot. It also wasn’t as busy as it was during the first half. But it was a close second. That’s how busy it was. True, I wasn’t on my feet quite as much in the second half of my shift. But I was still on them a lot more than I should have been.

I didn’t take my writing supplies yesterday because I didn’t think that I would have too much time to do any writing. Unfortunately, I was right about that. I didn’t have time to do that. In fact, I didn’t have time to do much of anything but work. And that includes eating and drinking. I didn’t do too much drinking. Eating was even worse. That’s because I didn’t get to it until a little into the second half.

Despite not being able to do any writing today I am going to take my writing supplies. Not because I think that I’m going to get the chance to do any writing. I know that won’t be happening. But I do need a couple of the supplies, though. One thing that I need is my paper stand so that I can watch television and movies on my cell phone in the few seconds a day that I can do that.

The other thing I need is a paper clip. There are several pages of paperwork that needs one. I didn’t think about that until I got to work yesterday. Who knows? Maybe I will be about to use the writing supplies for writing too. But I doubt that’s going to happen. I will probably be lucky if today isn’t as bad as yesterday.
