} Prompt: "Last night I was preparing the program and sermon for Chapel tomorrow. The question came to me: What is love? Is it an emotion or is it more? What do you think?" I am preaching a sermon tomorrow on the topic of love. I could spend the rest of the morning doing a blog entry on the subject, but let's just let it suffice to say that love is much more than an emotion. Love is a behavior and a lifestyle. Love wants what is best for another person. Love never thinks of itself. It always has the wants and needs of another in mind. It goes the extra mile and then goes beyond that. It has no limits and no price is too high. Love is complete in Jesus Christ. I was cruising through cyberspace this morning and found
that discusses swimming. Do you like swimming? Tell us why? I use to love swimming. I took swimming classes in junior high school and learned seven different swim strokes. I could swim forward, backward, sidestroke, breaststroke, and butterfly along with a few others. However, I no longer swim. For one thing, I had skin cancer so I avoid the sun as much as possible. Then in the winter, it is too cold to swim. Prompt: "Creative Writing: Imagine you are lost on a deserted island, or in an unexplored forest. What would you see and do?" If I was in the forest I would find a stream and follow it to the creek it dumped into, then follow that creek until it led me to civilization. If I was on a deserted island I would find water, food, and shelter in order of importance, then make the best of it. |
