A terminal for all blogs coming in or going out. A view into my life. |
That darn Newsfeed: "Tom the Turkey was working at his desk one afternoon, writing what would surely be his next best selling novel, when all of the sudden... he heard this ominous sound from the kitchen: chop, chop, chop. Tom Turkey writes voluminous Easter stories: hop, hop, hop. 15 he heard this ominous sound from the kitchen: chop, chop, chop. 14 Since ominous is the 24 syllable prompt of the day... (due Monday) I might have to work on this and submit! (That's my Muse laughing at my idea of taking a day off) As for flash: Phone, road, light ... three words for the Daily Flash Fiction. Too tired now and may not get un-tired today. (written in the wee hours) Too many contests. Did not get my Resurrection Jukebox entries finished. Set up 15. Finished 4 and have 2 more almost done. Just worn out. And I find redaction poems hard to do on a small screen. But, Oktober: "It's me, Zoe [275] (480 words)" Done tonight. Taboo. "Orange Dawn of My Deception" Done at 2 a.m. Short-shots. "My name's not Jack!" Senior forum, received an honorable mention today. "Two noses are better than one [267]" #4 for Dreamscapes. So all 4 were done. (Which is a win in itself) "Smitten by a kitten [260] (Space Cadet)" got 2nd place for OctoPrep. Which I finished. "Theater of the Night [255] (1091+ words)" didn't get anything, but it's an important Space Cadet episode. "We meet again [239]" #1 for Dreamscapes ... flopped. *laughed* "Over my dead body... so she did [246]" #2 for Dreamscapes, won. "Kissing camels (300 words) [252]" JI flash, didn't win. "Ghosts of poets past [272] 299 words" flash, didn't win. "Cleaning up the mess [270] (211 words)" flash , didn't win. "Melting the Graveyard [269] (440 words)" Weird Tales " lifeinsurancenet.info@identityremains" JI flash, didn't win. "Pink [262]" Breast Cancer Awareness, did not place. "Corkscrew, Teton and Pike [264] (~649w)" XGC Don't usually write erotica, fun writing it, won 2nd place "Me in the mirror [254] " #3 for Dark Dreamscape " Stuck at home again [263] (268 words)" flash, won "What's for dinner, Doc? [241] (298words)" JI flash, didn't win. "Where the grass grew tall [238] 960words" Space Cadet, offered for Sci-Fi, flopped as a separate story. "Masked mash [256] 24 lines" Honorable mention for the Daily Poem. I also finished Jounalistic Intentions (8 entries, used all 16 prompts) and Realities Forum (did 55 of 60) using blog entries. And I 'won' Octo-Prep (only submitted for 2 contests but finished a couple days early). "Space Cadet" will be my NaNoWriMo project. I'll be bizzy. A friend Bonnie Tarsus on bookface today: "Decades ago I shared a space with a woodcarver. I was weaving along one day and discovered an error almost a foot back. I would have to unweave. I cursed and yelled, " I hate to unweave!" The woodcarver stopped, put down his tools and said, "Many are the times I wished I could uncarve" That remains to be one of the profoundest moments in my 60 years of weaving." Very profound indeed. 3.143 |
