A book is a heart. Good thought. You open the book and get two pages. Every page is a part of the book. Why not be a pulse? Each page makes your heart race or maybe it stays study. Maybe it brings out fears or emotions. The book can warm your heart or make you want to throw it across the warm. Your heart may beat louder. Maybe be at a even pace. A portrait. Book being the heart's portrait. Emily may have had her own views on this since she wrote this quote. Heart and pulse go together. It would stand to reason that a book and it's pages belong together as well. I will let my pulse bear gently as I read each page of a book. I hope the book takes me far away. I am ready for an adventure and so is my heart.
