Two-Thirds is Good for Me

What does this blog entry title mean? It means that I said at the beginning of this year that I would only be working on my scriptwriting during this year. And that is what I have done so far. I have even cut back on my reviewing too. I’ve still been doing that. but I haven’t done it too much this year.

I don’t really consider reviewing a deviation when it comes to my writing. It’s writing-related. But it’s not writing. It does take away from me being able to write. And that has slowed me down a little bit. But it hasn’t done it too bad so far. That isn’t what this blog entry is about, though.

It’s about me writing something that isn’t script related. And that is what I have done. I gave-in and wrote a Short Story for a contest last month. It didn’t really matter, though. Since I was the only one who entered there was no winner. Also, I’m supposed to be getting a review from it. But I haven’t gotten that yet either.

Why am I writing about this in a Scriptwriting Only blog? It’s because I’m working on a couple of more short stories for this month. And that is what I have been working on today. Yes, I know that I should be working on my second scriptwriting project, The Problems with Death. But I only had about an hour to spare today to do any writing. And instead of getting only one or two single paragraphs done on this project, I decided to work on my short stories.

Don’t worry. Me doing some short stories isn’t interfering in my scriptwriting. This is the first time that I have worked on them instead of my scriptwriting. Normally, I write them after I get off work or before I go to sleep on my days off. I’m not giving up on either of my scriptwriting projects. And I am not going to until they are finished.
