Kamal (Perfection), 8 Izzat (Might) 177 B.E. - Monday, September 14, 2020 I have decided to become a NaNo Rebel! I tried this once before with a bit of success, I wrote several memories and poems. I'm not sure I liked what I wrote because I didn't plan what I was writing. Sometimes I succeed when I plan and sometime I succeed when I don't plan. This time I'm going to plan a little more carefully than I did before. I'm sure with prayer and planning I can succeed. In addition to planning, I'm going to begin each writing session with prayer. "O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord." ‘Abdu’l-Bahá1 NANO Rebel Notes for Letters From My Soul 50,000 words in 30 days 1,667-2,000 words per day Letter written to one of five or one of ten recipients. Who are the letters addressed to? What are the topics of the letters? Do I need an introduction and an epilogue? Each chapter addressed to a different one of the chosen recipients. Should I join "October Novel Prep Challenge" and attempt to apply the exercises to the letters? What is the theme or premise? This is all I have for now. I'll update this in later blog entries if anything else comes to mind. I have about 16 days to decided whether or not to join "October Novel Prep Challenge" . I have about 47 days until NANOWRIMO begins. |
