God,
the Unknowable Essence--
beyond descent or assent,
beyond incarnation--
can be known only through
the Mirrors of the Divine Spirit,
who are the Manifestations
of the Creator.

Each Holy Manifestation
is a human being
who reflects the perfections
of divinity to humanity.

Each Divine Manifestation,
or Holy Prophet,
speaks in metaphors
to assist ordinary human beings
in their comprehension
of the Divine Essence.
