Paul wrote "More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and I count them rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the Law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness that comes from God based on faith", Philippians 3:8-9.

What is the difference in these two types of righteousness?

The difference is that the righteousness that comes by faith is not based on human actions or behaviors. It is based on God's declaration that we are righteous and forgiven. The righteousness based on the law is based on what I do. I am righteous under the law if I keep the law, which is impossible for people to do. James says that if we violate one part of the Law we have broken the whole law because the Law is like a piece of glass. If you break one part, it's all broken. The righteousness that comes by faith is not earned. It is bestowed by grace and is a legal ruling from God declaring us "not guilty".

I don't mind autumn. It's winter that I don't like. I don't mind the cold too badly because I have plenty of insulation to keep me warm. What I don't like is the trees. I don't like the leafless trees. I never did think there was anything as ugly as a tree with no leaves. I always look forward to spring when things start turning green again. I think in Heaven we will have leaves all the time and the temperatures will be tolerable. I look forward to it.

I do not agree with her. I have found a way to live forever and the way she describes is not it. Eternal life is found in Jesus Christ. If anybody wants to live forever, believe in Him, repent of sin and you will live forever.
