"Prompt: It's a beautiful day to _____________."
I believe it is a beautiful day to blog, to create, and to celebrate. I will try to elaborate a little bit. The blogging part is self explanatory. However you will notice that I have put a link above to a new bog site here on WDC that will be launching in less than a week. I am looking for crew members to come and join me as we travel on the WDC Constitution and travel throughout the WDC galaxy exploring the stars systems (authors and portfolios) within the galaxy. There will be a prompt each day, based on something found on a planet (poems, stories, quizzes, polls, etc) of those planets. Crew members will blog about those and enter their blogs in a forum just as they do on this forum. I hope to eventually make it into a Blogger of the week as chosen by the officers of the Constitution or by its crew members in general but I am still working on that.
I am celebrating for several reasons. One it is my 59th birthday. Two, I made a big decision yesterday. I decided that over the next five years, I am going to work on obtaining both my Master of Divinity degree and my Master of Social Work. I am going to do this by attending Marshall University from the third week of August until it dismisses for the summer around the second week of May. I am then going to attend Regent University from the second week of May until the second week of August. This was a big decision, but the financial aid package I received makes it worthwhile. I know it includes no time for a vacation, but to be honest I have always found that I am much healthier if I am working than I am if all I am doing is relaxing. I guess I am one of those people who is only happy when I am doing one hundred miles per hour with my hair on fire as the co-star of Top Gun said about the star.
Wish me luck in my endeavors. For now, I have an assignment to write for class.
"Prompt: Have you ever been pushed around and what do you think of pushy people? Then, what is the best reaction when we detect someone is trying to push us around?"
I had people try to push me around when I was a child. It did not work out well for them because I got into many fights over it. The only person who could push me around was my dad and I let him do so out of respect for him. As to the best way to handle it, I don't know. Nobody tries to push me around now because my size is intimidating.
