Extremely Busy at Work Yesterday

Why was it so busy at work yesterday? There are two answers to that question. And they are both related to work. The first one is that it’s almost officially summer. That probably means that it’s going to get very, very busy at work. My second reason is because of the gate that I was working at yesterday.

Just before I left to go to work yesterday, I got a call from my Site Supervisor asking me to work at my old post yesterday and today. Of course, I wanted to turn him down. But the way things are going nowadays doing that will get you fired. Especially, when it comes to me. So, I took it.

I expected it to be very busy. But I didn’t think that it would be that busy. It made Wednesdays when I used to work at that post look good compared to yesterday. That’s how busy it was. I was on my feet almost non-stop the whole shift. It was super busy during the first four hours. True, it did slow down slightly during the last four. But not by that much. I was still on my feet at least seventy-five to eighty percent of the time.

Of course, I tried to get some writing done on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And I did get a little bit of it done. But not as much as I should have gotten written. Unfortunately, I’m working at that gate today too. So, I’m not too hopeful in getting too much writing done today, either. After all, it is a Friday. If yesterday was that bad, today could be even worse. And it probably will be.
