Ten Instead of Twelve

Unfortunately, I didn’t get as many synopses written as I wanted to for The Bible of my Water Wars television series. I wanted to get at least twelve-episode synopses written. If not a few more than that. But I only got ten of them done. And I’m kind of surprised that I got that many of them done. After all, it took me almost three hours just to write synopses nineteen of season one.

Well, that isn’t exactly true. Yes, it took me that long. But I re-wrote it about a million times. Quite a few of them after I finished writing it. I just didn’t like what I wrote. So, I erased it and started over. Why did I have so much trouble writing that episode synopsis? That I don’t know. I knew what I wanted to write. But I didn’t know how to write it. Every time I tried one way I didn’t like it. So, I tried it another way.

True, it may have taken me that long to do episode nineteen. But I did the other nine in the last five hours of my shift. That equals about two an hour. True, that doesn’t read like a lot of writing getting done. And I agree with that. But it was considering how busy it got at work yesterday.

It was extremely busy yesterday at work. In fact, it was about as bad as it was when I worked that the other post on Wednesdays. No, it wasn’t quite that bad. But it was a very close second. The only real difference was that I wasn’t on my feet almost constantly like I was at that other post. I was on them quite a bit. But it wasn’t that much. And I was lucky that I didn’t have to leave my guard post too much, either. I did several times. But not as I usually do.

Why was it so busy? That I don’t know. But it was. It was one of the busiest Wednesdays that I have at work since I left that other post. And I think that it is the busiest one I have had so far. If it isn’t I can’t think of any that have been just as busy or even busier. That how busy it was.

Once again, I hope that I will get at least twelve synopses written today at work. If I can, then I will end season two of this project. A lot of that will depends on work, though. after all, if it’s anything like yesterday, I may be lucky if I get ten more done. I think that I have a very good chance of doing at least that many written. Even if it’s as bad today as it was yesterday or worse.
