Memory Map:
To My Home Town

Sometimes,
in my dreams I go back home
to the town where I was born
and to a house that no longer exists.

We lived on West College,
three or four blocks from Washington Elementary school
in a town polluted by a Blackwell Zinc Smelter1:
What did we know
of pollution,
cancer clusters,
or Super Fund Sites?
