Worst Thing About New Books

Prompt: "The worst thing about new books is that they keep us from reading the old ones" John Wooden What are your thoughts about this?

I like reading new books. I do enjoy my Downton Abbey reference books, Jane Austen Treasury Scrapbook and I have my old books of Jane Austen novels, Twilight series and other books. I like reading what's new. Like a new Danielle Steel book and right now, I have been reading The Austen Sisters and Frozen, a novel about Elsa and her sister and what if they never had met. I want to read Melody Thomas Scott's new biography and she has played Nikki on The Young and the Restless for years and I was in my 20's with her. I do enjoy old books like Alice In Wonderland, Nancy Drew but once I read them, I am not one to reread them. I don't read much anymore but I try to read my Bible everyday. That's the oldest book there is an that one I will reread. Old books I keep and treasure and my new books will be old someday and I will treasure them, too.
