Yes, the Wuhan virus is now a pandemic regardless of WHO's official stance. It's been reported in 91 counties and is finally showing up in South America and Africa. It's coming to a town near you. Your friends and family will probably be exposed; the most vulnerable (elderly with underlying medical conditions, anyone with heart-lung problems) may die.

Wash your hands!

That's about the best advice I can give you. "Touching me, touching you" is not recommended.

If you live in the USA... heaven help you.

My comment at spacebook to a friend:

"Also... it's definitely pandemic. Soaring numbers in Europe and 91 countries (including the Vatican) on every continent (only a few in South America and Africa to date). In the US, 14 dead = 700 infected imho as 30-50:1 is a good ratio to use. Only 236 positive? Where are the missing 200-500 positives? Iran and Italy both had difficulty tracking down the number exposed, which is one reason why their numbers are soared. The USA? Apparently, we cannot learn from others. The response is anemic and not coordinated. Everyone praises Taiwan but the USA does not bother to learn from them! 1. production and usage of masks as part of a national campaign. Their educational campaigns are awesome. 2. checking people's temperatures (all children going back to school) in museums, anywhere there are large gatherings. 3. identifying high risk groups 4. chasing down all contacts. The most recent positive #45 is linked to #34. That info actually calms people down. Not in contact with #34 or #45? No problem. 5. Already close to having a vaccine. Been working on treatments from Day 1. But... since we don't look to non-white people for answers (yes, I think xenophobia and racism is a factor... like always) maybe they could consult the Germans! 500 cases (soaring) but no fatalities (yet, they will have some soon). There are countries out there doing a better job than we are... learn from them? Apparently NOT."
