Happy Valentine's Day

Prompt: "Write something in your blog about a pair of boots."

What would you like to know about a pair of boots? Do I own boots? Yes. I actually have two pairs. One pair is the ones I wear with my uniform. They are black. All the boots and shoes we wear with our uniforms are black. The other pair I have is a pair of yellow work boots like construction workers usually wear. I have only worn them twice as I wear my uniform most days. Today is a rare day for me. I am off work. I love my job. I work as community care ministries secretary at the Salvation Army. I do supportive services work. Sometimes I do some counseling but mostly just food boxes and reception type things.

Prompt: "Valentine’s Day. Is it a big deal in your world?"

Every holiday is a big deal in the Salvation Army. If I weren't sick today I would be visiting hospitals for Valentine's Day. The original plan was that I was to go to a children's hospital and pass out treat bags and then go to the VA to pass out some. Then I got sick. I am not bad sick but did not want to expose sick people to whatever I may have.
