wild things stole my heart

wild things run amuck
wild things come out
at 0 dark hundred hours
and steal away my heart

the wild things
wake up
and run outside
chasing me

as I run from them
they follow me
as I follow them
to my doom

following their dark desires
following them to the gates
of hell itself
searching for my stolen heart

the wild things
cackle and cry
and scream
like escaped banshees

and they run off
with my stolen heart
turning me
into a vampire

waiting waiting waiting
for my foreordained doom
as the wild things
prance about

in the midnight hour
turning me into their slave
for their eternal foul pleasure
holding on to my stolen heart

there is no escape
my fate that date
the hour is getting late
as I prepare to meet my fate

the sun comes up
the wild things come back
and restore my heart
and I wake up

and face the dawning sun
with the love of my life
dispelling the dark images
of the wild things
