A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Twenty-five Paragraphs is Usually a Very Good Day of Writing Unfortunately, it wasn’t one yesterday at work. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I do consider twenty-five paragraphs written for my Water Wars scriptwriting project a very good day. But it’s not as good as it should have been. The reason why I’m thinking it could have been better is because of the number of lines I ended up writing. Eighteen of those paragraphs were only three-lines long while the other seven consisted of five five-line paragraphs and two four-line ones. Of course, nine of those three-line paragraphs were for the Teaser Act of my second episode Outline. And I have a lot of trouble with that Act. This was one of those times. I didn’t have a lot of problems with my second episode for this project. But I did have some. In fact, now that I think about it, I probably ended up doing another nine paragraphs by the time I got it done. So, it was sort of like I did thirty-four paragraphs instead of twenty-five. Today, I’m going to continue working on this project. I’m hoping that I can get thirty-five paragraphs written. But I doubt that I will get that many done. I will be lucky if I get about half that many of them written. Why do I write that? Because they are all four or five lines long. A lot of how much writing I get done today depends on how busy it gets at work. If it’s a normal Friday, then I may not get too much writing done. But if it isn’t a typical one, then I may get quite a bit written. I’m hoping that it will be the latter of the two. I should be able to get at least the rest of Act One written and Act Two. That will be seventeen paragraphs total if I do that many. But I’m hoping to do more. Seventeen isn’t very good, but twenty-six is. That would mean me finishing Acts One, Two, and Three. I’m not counting on doing that many. But it would be great if I could.
