The door to 2020
stands open
giving a hopeful glimpse
of a brand new year
and a new decade.

Inhale the breath of faith--
as it wafts through
the door of January--
as it invites us to
strive for world peace.

          ...for fresh brewed coffee on this beautiful winter morning.
          ...that I have 12,150 points in my YouGov account.
          ...for the cookie I have to go with my coffee this morning.
          ...that my Bank of America checking account is not overdrawn today.
          ...for the merit badges I received today.
