A little at a time,
I strive to follow the example
of the Perfect Exemplar1.

Prayer by prayer
to express divine love
for the world
and the human race.

A little bit each day,
I leave behind
the superstitions
and dogma of my childhood
so that I can step into the maturity
of universal love.
