The Gate of God:
To The Bab

The Bab was born as all humanity--
He passed through womb and birth canal--
He was a test of faith to the believer,
And salvation to the infidel.

The Bab, the Promised One, the Gate of God;
The trumpet blast announcing Judgement Day;
In His hands were the keys to heaven and hell,
And in His scriptures the guide to paradise.

The Primal Point from which all knowledge flowed;
The victorious benefactor of the human soul;
A sustaining pillar in God's Holy Word;
And the renovator of the world.

He announced the coming of the Baha'u'llah,
As Him Who God will make Manifest,
The Bab gave His life for humanity;
His blood was spilled to water the tree of faith.
