DAY 2525: Night Noises

Night Noises

If they wake you
in the middle of the night
they give you a heart stopping fright,
but when you turn on the light
you find that everything
in the bedroom is all right.

You get up
and wander through the house
looking for any sign of a mouse,
the only thing you find
is an open refrigerator
with the cat and the dog
eating yesterday's leftovers.
