Endings and Beginningss

The end of August
foretells the beginning of September
and the approach of autumn.

The autumnal (September) Equinox
is the official change of seasons,
but Labor Day--
September 2, 2019--
is the official end of summer.

It's time to end summer romances
and begin autumn love affairs,
it's time to close the door
on summer dreaming
and open the window to autumn planning
for the coming winter.
