MHWA Prompt 2: Who has been the best friend you've had in life? Tell us the story of how you met. Are you still friends with them? If not, why?

Kevin. I was 26. He was 18. We met at a retreat in South Carolina. I arrived with a headache. He found some aspirin.

I was going though a difficult time. I confided in him. He came over to my bed while I was shaking and held me.

We remained friends for 24 years.

But... some things end. His wife became upset with me and cut me off. Only a couple messages since. It's been a long 16 years.

I still think of him and his name comes easy to my lips.
