Just an update

There's nothing exciting to write about. For me the following is just a normal 4 days in a place I've visited many times and lived in twice.

Have already seen a few friends and associates. One had moved back from Colombia after 5 years. Saw him in a park... My eyes are bad but I recognized him from afar immediately. Had coffee with another today. Some trips I barely run into people, so this is nice.

Bryan stayed two nights with me in the hostel. He's taking classes nearby. Yesterday I was able to go the pharmacy for him to pick up meds while he was in class. No problem. Easy... But he couldn't take the time off to do it himself. I had to go to a specific hospital pharmacy during specific hours. At least the meds are free... The same meds are very expensive in the US.

So... one good deed counts for something?

I've eaten gallo pinto three times and yesterday had a casado with liver. I never get liver at home so that's a treat. Manager gave me free flan too. Another favorite.

Heavy rain this morning so I got somewhat soaked. Yes, I had a big badass umbrella. 4 hour bus trip due to construction. Should be 3.

Very tired and worn out. Took a two-hour nap. I'll go to bed soon.

Anyhoo... there's more but time to wind down and sleep.
