A terminal for all blogs coming in or going out. A view into my life. |
I once did a chapbook on words found in the dictionary while I was living in Oklahoma in 2004: Aurochs to Zorra. All 26 are here at WdC. Haven't looked at them in a long time. The only one that seems to be memorable is "Saltimbocca" . It kept me busy while I wiled away my time. I had to do something... Robert mentions how it's best to start with the difficult letters, like X and Z and go from there. What would X stand for now? Ximen, the former west gate in Taipei? How about Y for Yangmingshan, the mountain to the north of Taipei? Z could be Zhunan or Zhiben on opposite sides of Taiwan. Q isn't difficult either. Qing is the Dynasty; Qingming is tomb sweeping day, April 4th. I've made sure I have poems with titles using all the letters, including; ñ, æ, ø and å. Ah... I've visited Å i Lofoten in Norway. My mind is wandering to other places and other times. I even looked at flights today. Found some doable ones from Costa Rica to Europe (Madrid, Paris). Maybe do a "shell" trip: (home (Costa Rica (Spain ... travel around Europe ... Spain) Costa Rica) home). It could be cheaper than two trips from here. Yesterday's flash fiction:
