A terminal for all blogs coming in or going out. A view into my life. |
A potpourri of thoughts from blogs today. tah20 explains that when it comes to writing she's a pantser... giving her character enough independence to have some fun, like unruly teenagers. I responded briefly to her post "Invalid Entry" : Lovely blog post. I sometimes plan but I'm much more of a pantser when I write. Wish I could travel like a pantser (insecurities, not enough money, risk-avoider... meh... I plan... too much or not enough). To sum it up: Fantasy Rules! Reality Bites! ♥noVember tHiNg♥ was funny today in her own mooing way. She had moola to spend and ... "Invalid Entry" . I responded to the being-on-lists part of her blog. Funny... as usual... well, when you aren't being un-funny that is... I do understand. My daily flash fictions (latest obsession), my daily poems in April (finally wrote one today), my daily blog entries, my journal (I've missed days... ). I could be on many positive lists! But no... being on more than one person's manure list over 15 years ago still bothers me... Nice to see StephBee post after a long hiatus. She mentions movies and the Dodgers in "As usual, I get back to blogging in July" , but the part that got to me was she likes blog posts that are "conversational, fun and engaging". Ouch... I need to work on that. I commented: I don't go to movies or games! I did see "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" because I really loved it the first time I saw it. It triggered some odd feelings this time. I've been to Australia since, but not the Outback. It took me back in time... and I walked out a bit dazed by that feeling. I had season tickets to the U of Montana Grizz football games the first year here; but prices have sky-rocketed and my income hasn't. I do remember when baseball was much cheaper than other sports... obviously no longer. Shorter blog posts that are "conversational, fun and engaging" ... so that's what I've been missing! Seriously... whatever I've been doing isn't working. Good to see you back in Blogville. Apondia touches on peace vs violence in her Independence Day blog post: "Independence Means?" . My response: I truly believe we are all interdependent. Within that framework we can live independent lives to whatever extent possible. At the moment I'm capable of living on my own. But... I've finally shared with some friends that I need help uncluttering and cleaning... haven't had anyone come in yet... but... I'm truly overwhelmed. As I get older, other aspects of my life may be compromised. It happens. As for human rights... it's hard to feel independent when one is being oppressed. Hard to live peacefully when people won't leave you alone. Many of the migrations and uprisings we see nowadays are due to one or the other. I finally did an acrostic for the Ultimate Poetry Challenge! I only have to do 4 to catch up...
