3rd of July responses. Is it all about the spices?
Since I'm not strictly following challenges or prompts, I'll link to three other blogs today:

LazyWriter Author Icon is outlining a novel. "Invalid EntryOpen in new Window.

Chapter Four: Hunter and Letti come across an old village, where children play out scenes from old stories told by the elders. One of these scenes features a child playing the role of "the Nothingness" and wiping out everything. The two then go to the elders to ask about this story.

I'm intrigued as to how she will write this back-story contextual chapter and later how she will handle killing off a main character. In Real Life, people die.

🌻 thankful pwheeler nano Author Icon had a bad day, "I'd rather have good days, for sure. But we do learn a lot from the bad ones." Could be the story of my life. Personally I write better when I'm depressed and there have been some disasters I would rather not talk about... but they might make good grist for the mill of living. She includes a neat little senryu in her entry: "A hundred bad days made a hundred good storiesOpen in new Window.

Prosperous Snow celebrating Author Icon answered the 30DBC about potlucks "Potluck FoodsOpen in new Window.. My response:

If I were fancy... like back in the day... I'd do tarts. Buy pre-made pastry shells and become creative. These days? I do like beans... *Laugh*
From the internet: "In general, most beans go well with herbs like parsley, rosemary, sage, savory, and thyme. You usually can't go wrong with garlic and onions, either."
Well, I can do onion flakes, garlic powder, rosemary and sage. Should buy thyme so I can sing Simon and Garfunkel's "Scarborough Fair" while I make it.

My flash fiction from yesterday that I wrote to my own prompts. It was pimply-sissing down *Laugh*:
