We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life.

Poetry by Rhyme and Reasons
Each poem remains a cozy bed.
I write to give my heart a voice.
Each day I whisper as I'm led
to craft each word by hopeful choice.

The rhythm and rhyme give emotions a barque
to ride in the light through the nights and the days.
Without a lone hope, then the living is stark
with nary a cart to carry our praise.

My poetry's writ as a balm for the soul.
I hope that the reading will lighten a load.
If there were a way to make Humanity whole
by writing some truth for Life's rugged road,
then poems each day are that very goal
to blanket the restless and give an abode.

Do I write to be published or famous or seen?
Well, that's not my goal, if I know my true heart,
but part of me wishes, that "published" would mean
more dear ones of Earth could make a blest start.

I write to bring Joy to the heart of The Lord
as one, whose best gift is to worship His Name.
I write to rehearse the Truth of His Word
as one, who finds hope in His Glory and Fame.

I write since one day my words will be quit
upon this old ship of my earthly estate.
I write, that my loved ones will never forget
my pride in them each, since their giftings are great,
nor would I remain as ever in debt,
neglecting my love from their foot to their pate.

I write, that my readers would walk away blest,
enabled to face a new day and a test.
I write, that great hope I could paint on some face,
and that myriad pains I could swiftly erase.
