Happy Anniversary, Dad & Mom!

You wedded many years ago
upon this very day
with only scant two years to know
before I came your way.

I'd love to give you both a hug,
but sadly you're not here.
You live in Heaven, warm and snug,
with thoughts forever clear.

Now, every year upon the first
of June I think again
about the lives "For better or worse"
you started way back when.

My heart is sad to walk these days
without you in my world,
but I'm glad I can forever say
you lived your lives unfurled.

I'll see you when my dash in done.
I hope, that I will hear,
"We're proud of how you lived, Dear Son!
The last life is most dear."
