Today Has Been a Very Good Day for My WDC Short Story

At least I think that it has been a great day for the WDC Short Story that I’m writing for this month. Especially since my knee has been killing me for the last couple of days. I took another Aleve just before I went to sleep last night. And it helped me a lot with my knee. It’s still a little sore. And I’m having some problems with pain when I bend it. But it’s a million times better than it has been.

True, I have only gotten three more sections done with my WDC Short Story. Not only has it given me the first half of my story, but I was able to edit the section that I needed to edit to keep it under a thousand words. It’s bare under that. But it is under it. Besides, I only had a few hours to do all that. It hasn’t been a very busy day today. But it has been busy. I didn’t get started working on it until the middle of the afternoon. So, I was lucky to get all that much done.

After I finish this Blog entry, I plan on going back to it until I get it done. I only have two more days off to finish it. And one of those days is the last day of the month. If I don’t get it done before I go to sleep tonight, I’m going to have to force myself to do it after I get off work this week. I’m not going to take the chance of waiting to the last second and not getting it done for this month. Not only would that be embarrassing because of the genre, but it would be for me too.

At times like this, I wish I could take my laptop to work like everyone else. If I could, then I wouldn’t have any trouble finishing. I would happily give up a day or two from my Water Wars scriptwriting project to do it. But I can’t do that. I could try to handwrite it too. I’ve even thought about doing that. But I don’t think that I could. It would be too hard to do. Especially since I am halfway through it already. Even from scratch, I don’t think that I can do it. Maybe next month I will try it. Depending on what the Character contest is all about.

Tomorrow I will start working on my Water Wars movie Treatment again. Being a Wednesday, I don’t know how much of it I will get done. But it can’t be any worse than last Sunday when I didn’t do any. A lot of that depends on how busy it is at work. If it’s like recent Wednesdays, then I may only get ten to fifteen scene paragraphs done. But that’s better than nothing, right.
