This Blog isn't just for my scriptwriting Projects. It's also for my other activities. |
Not Too Bad of a Yesterday for My Water Wars Project I started working on Act Two if my Water Wars movie Treatment yesterday at work. Unfortunately, I was right about it being a weekday slow down for my writing. But it wasn’t all that bad, though. In fact, I think that it was very good considering how busy it was at work for a Thursday. It’s true, I only got fifteen scene paragraphs plus about five Establishing Shots done yesterday. But a lot of that is because of work. Mostly because it was a weekday at work. It was very busy there. a lot busier than it usually is for a Thursday. Maybe that’s because of the rain storm we had the night before. That’s no excuse for me not getting more writing done yesterday. It’s just one of the reasons why I didn’t get more done. But like the title for this Blog entry say, I think that it was a very good yesterday for this scriptwriting project. Some writers would think twenty scene paragraphs aren’t too much. But I’m not one of them. I have always thought that it’s not how much writing you do each day, but that you do it. True, I would have liked to do a little more. But between work and me having a few problems with the paragraphs I did write I’m lucky I got that many of them done. I had to do a lot of erasing on a couple of scene paragraphs and at least one Establishing Shot. What did I have to do so much erasing? The obvious answer to that is because I’m handwriting this project now. But it’s not the only one, though. I knew what I wanted to write. Just didn’t know how to do it. Which means I had to do a lot of erasing. And that takes up a lot of time. So in a way, I did do about twenty-five paragraphs yesterday. I just changed a few of them. True, I didn’t write anymore. But in some ways, I did. Sometimes my writing is like this when I don’t know how to write what I want to write. And sometimes I just start writing and it comes out of my fingers through my pencils and onto the paper without any trouble. That’s the way that I usually write. Once I start my fingers take over. Then there are times when I have trouble writing. Luckily for me, that doesn’t happen too often. But it happens more times than I want it to. So, what am I going to do today? The answer to that question is obvious too. I’m going to continue working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I don’t know how much of it I will get done today. But I’m hoping to get at least fifteen more scene paragraphs done. A lot of that depends on work. If it’s a normal Friday, I might not get too much done. Then again, I might. You never know when it comes to me. This may just be one of those times. My next Blog entry should answer this question.
