Game Show

I was just remembering today that in 1968, my husband and myself got to try out for the Newly Wed Game. We were married December 16, 1967 and the show had been on just barely a year. We went to a Los Angeles studio and were in a setting similar to the one on Television. The first episode of the Newly Wed Game aired July 11, 1966.

We were in a group setting, if I remember correctly; four couples and the host wasn't the original host, Bob Eubanks, but someone they used to work with try outs. The questions were similar and I remember we shared a lot of laughs. It was fun and exciting. We did not get selected for a TV appearance, however. So my TV career was cut short, ha, ha.
