I Hope

In my heart, I felt faint and weak
I was hurt by my fellow man.
I hung my head and tears fell from my eyes.
They took all that I had.

Yet still, I am strong in my faith as I do know
That the Lord watches all that has transpired.
He was with me during my time of need.
I could hear with my soul the words He would say.

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.
These words helped me oh so much, He dried my tears, made me whole.
My faith is stronger as He was by my side during the turmoil I suffered.

He saw what was done to me, will call for justice in His time and way.
I put my miseries in His hands and forgave him that hurt me and tried to steal my life. I know that God knows and sees all. I won’t be afraid, He is by my side, I love my God and His Son, They gave my life back to me.

I gave my life to my dear Lord and my hope is that I will see Him one day.
He brought me through the flames of Hell, and taught me forgiveness and not to judge. The man who hurt me will also meet God and will have to explain why he hurt people so much.
