An image for a blog that I hope will take root. Prompt: Discuss Psalms 46: 10 "Be still and know that I am God..."

To me this is a Psalm of assurance. When all seems lost I am to sit back, relax, and watch God work it all out for me. He will do so in a miraculous way. There have been lots of times I thought all was lost and God rescued me. He will continue to do so.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: "First loves are often depicted in literature as feverish obsessions that last forever. Let's discus one example of this type of obession or better described as a toxic romance between Catherine and Heathcliff in Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. Has romance writing evolved from Bronte's time? What's more marketable classical romance or modern romance? Do you think today's readers can relate to this kind of obsession or would they be turned off by it?"

I am not a romance writer and have no interest in romance writing. It really can't have changed because man hasn't changed. Since man has not changed in thousands of years how could romance have changed? Yes. I admit that today we accept a lot more sexuality in our writing and our behavior than we accepted before. When Wuthering Heights was written it was not common for an unmarried couple to crawl into bed together. I have never read Wuthering Heights but I doubt it is x rated like a lot of so called romance novels today. So as far as sex is concerned romance has changed. However the wooing and such has not changed.

Blog City image small Prompt: In your own non-fiction,have you struggled with representing yourself honestly while being conscious of how others might view you? Do you have any suggestions for non-fiction writers?"

I'm ill today so the short answers are no and no. I try to write as honestly about myself as I can because I don't really care what people think of me. The way I figure it is that I have never done anything that somebody else hasn't already done. There truly is nothing new under the sun!
